The present invention provides a nonwoven web prepared from multicomponent fibers which are partially split. The partially split multicomponent fibers have at least one component of the multicomponent fiber separated from the remaining components of the multicomponent fiber along a first section of the longitudinal length of the multicomponent fibers. Along a second section of the longitudinal length of the multicomponent fibers the components of the multicomponent fibers remain together as a unitary fiber structure. In addition, part of the second section of the multicomponent fibers is bonded to part of a second section of an adjacent multicomponent fiber.

Disclosed is a sanitary or no-touch dispenser which dispenses sheets of a web material, such as a paper towel. The disclosed dispenser provides the web material to a user by using both manual and electronic means to dispense the sheet. This is accomplished by having a motor engagably connected to an actuator roller. The motor is activated by a motor activation means, such as a switch. The motion of the actuator roller, which is started by the user grabbing and pulling a tail of the web material extending from the dispenser, causes the motor activation means to activate the motor which in turn drives the actuator roller to continue it its rotation motion to dispense the sheet from the dispenser.

A system for detecting an actual or impending overflow condition from a washroom fixture includes an overflow sensor configured with the fixture at a location to detect an abnormal rise in water level within the fixture before water overflows the fixture. A water sensor may also be disposed to detect an abnormal amount of water on the washroom floor. A data communications unit is in communication with the sensors. A washroom monitoring station is provided in wireless communication with the data communications unit and in communication with the sensors through the data communications unit. The washroom monitoring station is configured for indicating the presence of water when detected by the overflow or water sensors.

A mop head assembly for use with a handle and a cleaning substrate is disclosed. The mop head assembly includes a lower substrate support surface, at least one fastener channel associated with the lower substrate support surface, and a fastener strip that can be inserted into the fastener channel. The mop head assembly may include a cross-member configured such that forces applied from the handle through a central portion of mop head are distributed toward the end edges of the lower substrate support surface.

An adjustable-size mop head assembly that may be used with a handle and a disposable cleaning substrate is disclosed. The mop head assembly includes a central frame section with a central portion and a lower substrate support surface configured to hold a disposable cleaning substrate. The mop head assembly also includes at least one adjunct frame section configured to be operably coupled to the central frame section and configured to move between a stored configuration, where the adjunct frame section is stored by the central frame section, and an extended configuration where the adjunct frame section extends from the central frame section to add width to the central frame section and the lower substrate support surfaces. A throughdrying process and system for the manufacture of a tissue web conveys a fibrous web of cellulose fibers through a throughair drying station that includes one or more throughair dryers. The throughair drying station is supplied with a heated drying medium from a source. After drying the web, the drying medium is conducted away from the throughair drying station as moisture laden exhaust air that is collected, dried, and at least partially recirculated back to the throughair drying station as a supplement to the source of heated drying medium, thereby reducing the load on the heated drying medium source.
