Embodiments herein provide a user equipment (UE) and a method for performing communication in a mission critical services (MCX) off-network. The method includes: sending an announcement message for a slot reservation for a complete scheduling assignment (SA) cycle; determining whether a second UE in the MCX Off-network is trying to reserve same slot and having a higher priority than priority of the first UE. Further, the method includes performing one of: backing off and sending a new announcement message for the slot reservation in response to determining that the second UE is trying to reserve a same slot and has the higher priority than the priority of the first UE, and reserving the same slot in response to determining that the second UE is trying to reserve the same slot and the second UE has a lower priority than the priority of the first UE.

User equipment and method for performing collision free communication

A method for initiating a private communication session by a user equipment (UE) includes: initiating, by the initiating UE, at least one private communication session with a terminating UE using a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) INVITE message including an I_MESSAGE; and reusing, by the initiating UE, the I_MESSAGE for initiating at least one subsequent private communication session with the terminating UE.

Method and apparatus for initiating a communication session using mission critical services

A method and system for providing mission critical service (MCX) in a wireless communication network are provided. The method includes receiving, by a network-bridge entity, a communication request from an electronic device in a non-MCX zone. The network-bridge entity interfaces communication between the non-MCX zone and an MCX zone in the wireless communication network. Further, the method includes performing, by the network-bridge entity, a registration of the electronic device with an MCX server present in the MCX zone. Further, the method includes establishing, by the network-bridge entity, an MCX with the MCX server. Further, the method includes transferring, by the network-bridge entity, an MCX functionality to the electronic device in the non-MCX zone.
