In a vehicular lamp system for an automotive vehicle, a first reflector () equipped with a light source, a second reflector () enabled to deflect a reflection direction thereof toward a vehicular turn direction independently of the first reflector, and a driving section () that operatively performs a deflection drive for the first and second reflectors are provided. A controller () controls the driving section(s) on the basis of a vehicular velocity detected by a vehicular velocity detector () and a steering angle detected by a vehicular steering angle detector () in such a manner that the second reflector is deflected toward the vehicular turn direction according to the detected steering angle when the detected vehicular velocity falls in an extremely low vehicular velocity range and that the first reflector is deflected toward the vehicular turn direction according to the steering angle when the detected vehicular velocity falls in a high vehicular velocity range.

Vehicular lamp system for automotive vehicle

In a vehicular lamp system having a displaceable light distribution section which radiates a light from a light source into a predetermined light distribution area and is enabled to displace its light distribution state toward a direction toward which a displacement angle thereof to an optical axis of the light source is formed, a drive section which drives the displaceable light distribution section to displace a light distribution state from the optical axis of the light source by displacement angle, a steering angle sensor which detects a steering angle of a vehicular steering wheel, and a controller which controls the drive section to displace light distribution section by the displacement angle in accordance with a detected value of the steering angle, a gain setting section is provided in the controller to set a gain prescribing the displacement angle of the displaceable light distributing section with respect to the detected value of the steering wheel to fall in a predetermined range such as to displace the displaceable light distribution section by a predetermined displacement angle smaller than the detected value of steering angle. The predetermined range is between &frac16; and &frac12;.

Head lamp for automobile

In a headlamp of an automobile, a reflector is divided to an upper reflector member positioned above an optical axis and a lower reflector member including the optical axis; the upper reflector is rotatable and provided with a reflection face for forming a diffusing luminous intensity distribution pattern; the lower reflector member is provided with a light source bulb, rotatable and provided with a reflection face for forming a reference luminous intensity distribution pattern. Therefore, the diffusing luminous intensity distribution pattern and the reference luminous intensity distribution pattern can independently or simultaneously be changed by rotating the upper reflector member and the lower reflector member independently or simultaneously. Accordingly, visibility is improved when an automobile is running on a curved road.
