A communication cable includes a solid sheath on an outer periphery of a signal cable having a plurality of insulated wires and in which transmission characteristics hardly decrease due to a pressure in extrusion-molding a sheath. The signal cableincludes a plurality of insulated wireseach having a conductorand an insulation coatingcovering an outer periphery of the conductor, and a solid sheathcovering an outer periphery of the signal cable. A melt flow rate of a constituent material of the sheathmeasured at 200° and with a load of 2.16 kg is 0.25 g/10 min. or more.

Communication cable

A shielded communication cable. The shielded communication cable includes a pair of insulated wires twisted with each other containing a conductor and an insulation covering which covers the conductor and has the relative dielectric constant of 2.5 or lower, a braided shield which covers the pair of insulated wires, a film-shaped shield which contains a metal film and longitudinally laps the pair of the insulated wires over the braided shield and a jacket having an inner diameter of 3.5 mm or smaller which covers the film-shaped shield. The pair of insulated wires are twisted with each other with a twist pitch of 30 times of an outer diameter of each of the insulated wires or smaller, and the shielded communication cable has a characteristic impedance in range of 100±5Ω.

Shielded communication cable

Disclosed is a shielded communication cable containing a parallel electric cable containing a pair of insulated wires arranged parallel to each other without being twisted. The shielded communication cable exhibits excellent noise shieldability and hardly generates signal propagation time difference. The shielded communication cable contains a parallel electric cable containing a pair of insulated wires arranged parallel to each other. Each of the insulated wires contains a conductor and an insulation coating that covers the conductor. A braided shield containing elemental wires braided together and a film-shaped shield containing a metal film are arranged at an outer circumference of the parallel electric cable.

A communication cable includes a coating layer that contains a powdery magnetic material and that can suppress the occurrence of a powdery substance containing the magnetic material when processing the coating layer. The communication cable further includes a conductor, an insulating coating that covers an outer circumstance of the conductor, and a magnetic sheath layer that covers an outer side of the insulating coating, and the magnetic sheath layer contains the magnetic material and the magnetic material has a particle shape with an average particle diameter of not more than 50 &#x3bc;m and an aspect ratio of not greater than 4.

An electric wire conductor is excellent in space saving and flexibility and is less likely to concentrate a load on specific elemental wires, and a covered electric wire and a wire harness contain the electric wire conductor. The electric wire conductor contains a wire strand containing a plurality of elemental wires twisted together. The wire strand has a sector-shaped part in which a cross-section intersecting an axial direction of the wire strand contains either a single edge or two edges touching each other at an apex, and an outward curve connecting the ends of the single edge or the two edges. In the sector-shaped part, the elemental wires having deformation ratios from a circle lower at an outer peripheral part facing an outer periphery of the sector-shaped part than at a center part of the sector-shaped part located inside the outer peripheral part in the cross-section intersecting the axial direction.

Electric wire conductor, covered electric wire, wire harness, and method for manufacturing electric wire conductor

An electric wire conductor having both flexibility and a space-saving property. Also provided are a covered electric wire and a wiring harness containing the electric wire conductor. An electric wire conductor contains a wire strand containing a plurality of elemental wires twisted together. The electric wire conductor has a flat portion in which a cross section intersecting an axial direction of the wire strand has a flat shape. Assuming a conductor cross-sectional area of the flat portion as s mmand a vacancy ratio defined as a ratio of vacancies not occupied by the elemental wires in a cross section of the flat portion as v %, the conductor cross-sectional area and the vacancy ratio satisfies v&#x3e;0.29 s+2.0. The covered electric wire contains electric wire conductor and an insulator covering the conductor. The wiring harness contains the covered electric wire.

Electric wire conductor, covered electric wire, and wiring harness

A wiring harness comprises a first covered electric wire, and a second covered electric wire. The first covered electric wire comprises a first electric wire conductor made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy and an insulator covering the first electric wire conductor. The first electric wire conductor comprises a wire strand of a plurality of elemental wires twisted together, and has a flat portion where a cross-section of the wire strand intersecting an axial direction of the wire strand has a flat shape. The second covered electric wire comprises a second electric wire conductor made of copper or a copper alloy and an insulator covering the second electric wire conductor. The second electric wire conductor has a lower flatness and a smaller conductor cross-sectional area than the first electric wire conductor of the first covered electric wire.

A covered electrical wire comprising a conductor and an insulating covering layer provided outside the conductor, the conductor being a stranded wire composed of a strand of a plurality of copper alloy wires: composed of a copper alloy containing Fe in an amount of 0.1% by mass or more and 1.6% by mass or less, P in an amount of 0.05% by mass or more and 0.7% by mass or less, and Sn in an amount of 0.05% by mass or more and 0.7% by mass or less, with the balance being Cu and impurities; and having a wire diameter of 0.5 mm or less, the copper alloy wire having a tensile strength of 385 MPa or more and a work-hardening exponent of 0.1 or more.

Covered electrical wire, terminal-equipped electrical wire, copper alloy wire, and copper alloy stranded wire

A covered electrical wire comprises a conductor and an insulating covering layer provided outside the conductor, the conductor being a stranded wire composed of a strand of a plurality of copper alloy wires: composed of a copper alloy containing Fe in an amount of 0.2% by mass or more and 1.6% by mass or less, P in an amount of 0.05% by mass or more and 0.4% by mass or less, and Sn in an amount of 0.05% by mass or more and 0.7% by mass or less, with the balance being Cu and impurities, and having a mass ratio of Fe/P of 4.0 or more; and having a wire diameter of 0.5 mm or less.

An electric wire conductor includes a wire strand having a plurality of elemental wires twisted together. The wire strand includes a deformed part in which a cross-section of the wire strand intersecting an axial direction of the wire strand is formed into a flat shape in which a width of the cross section is larger than a height of the cross section, and an entire outer periphery of the cross section is formed as an outward curve. In the cross-section of the deformed part, the elemental wires have deformation ratios from a circle of 70% or lower at an outer peripheral part facing the outer periphery of the deformed part than at a center part located inside the outer peripheral part.

An electric wire conductor capable of achieving both flexibility and a space-saving property, a covered electric wire and a wiring harness including such an electric wire conductor. The electric wire conductor contains a wire strand containing a plurality of elemental wires twisted together, and has a flat portion where a cross-section intersecting an axial direction of the wire strand has a flat shape. A communication cable that includes a twisted wire pair that includes a pair of insulated wires that are twisted together and that each include a conductor and an insulating covering that covers an outer periphery of the conductor; and a sheath that is made of an insulating material and continuously covers an entire outer periphery of the twisted wire pair about a center along a longitudinal axis of the twisted wire pair, wherein the sheath has a dielectric loss tangent of 0.0001 or more in a frequency range of 1 to 50 MHz.

A covered electric wire comprises an insulating coating layer on the outer side of a conductor. The conductor comprises a copper alloy consisting of: not less than 0.05% by mass and not more than 2.0% by mass of Fe; not less than 0.02% by mass and not more than 1.0% by mass of Ti; not less than 0% by mass and not more than 0.6% by mass of Mg; and the balance being Cu and impurities. The covered electric wire is a stranded wire comprising a plurality of copper alloy wires stranded together. The plurality of copper alloy wires each have a work hardening coefficient of not less than 0.1 and a wire diameter of not more than 0.5 mm.

Provided are an electric wire conductor having both flexibility and a space-saving property, a covered electric wire, and a wiring harness containing such an electric wire conductor. The electric wire conductor contains a plurality of elemental wires, and has a flat portion in which a cross-section intersecting an axial direction of the wire strand has a flat shape. Deformation ratios of the elemental wires at peripheral end parts in a width direction are 70% or lower of deformation ratios of the elemental wires at center parts. Further, a covered electric wire contains the electric wire conductor and an insulator covering the electric wire conductor.
