Optical media disc case

A disc storage container for holding multiple discs comprising, a front container cover, a back container cover, and a spine, and attachment means on the spine, the front container cover and back container cover being moveable between a container open position enabling access to the contents of the container and a container closed position for storage purposes. A multi-tray assembly for retaining a plurality of discs within the container, the multi-tray assembly comprising two connectors and two trays for retaining and holding discs, each connector comprising a container-engaging member for engaging to the attachment means on the spine of the container and two holding means for rotatably holding a respective tray, so that each tray can be rotated about the holding means of the connectors to allow access to the discs retained by the trays when the container is in a container open position.

Optical disc package

The invention is a case for receiving at least one data storage disk. The case is comprised of two cover members and a base. The case opens by sliding one or both cover members away from each other to allow removal of the disk from the base. The present improved DVD or CD case has very few components which are characterized by great simplicity whereby low manufacturing and assembly cost is achieved, without sacrificing reliability and resistance to breakage or malfunctioning. The case can be accommodated in existing racks, or holders and displays.

Large compact disk package with sliding cover members

An apparatus is provided for holding a compact disk. The device relies on the central hole of a disk and provides a body portion which includes a disk support member onto which the disk can rest. At least two members each pivotably dependent from and connected to said base a flexible arm extending downwardly from said disk support member provide a disk locating means receivable in the central hole of said disk. Integrally formed with the members are disk lifting arms which extend outwardly from each said member. By way of an actuating means movement of the members from a disk locating condition to a disk released condition is achievable whereby when a disk is supported on said disk support member, and pressure is applied to said actuating means, the members move toward each other to release the disk locating means from the central hole and simultaneously the disk lifting arms displace the disk upwardly from said disk support means.

A disk receiving device for a storage cassette having a front covering part, a rear covering part and a disk receiving plate, for circular information disks, wherein on both sides of the disk receiving plate protruding T-shaped clamping elements are provided for clamping the circular information disks in the center hole of the information disks. The T-shaped clamping elements are disposed around a central opening in the disk receiving plate, comprising a base portion and two clamping portions integral with the basis portion. The T-shaped clamping elements extend vertically from the base portion in such a manner that the clamping portions protrude on both sides of the disk receiving plate essentially in a vertical direction relative to the disk receiving plate.
