A large scale cell harvesting method for a pack-bed culture device by providing cell growing space that is packed with a plurality of porous matrices and/or matrix means. When a cell detaching step at least comprising shaking or spinning the culture chamber is performed, the unoccupied space is large enough for the porous matrices collide to each other or to the culture chamber to generate momentum whereby the cells detach from the porous matrices to harvest the cells.

Large scale cell harvesting method for pack-bed culture device

The present invention claims and discloses a novel apparatus and method for efficiently cultivating cells with minimal mortality in order to harvest a maximum amount of cellular products generated by the cultivated cells. More particularly, the present invention teaches a method and a device for plating cells and causing maximum adherence of cells of interest. Furthermore, the present invention also teaches a growth substrate means that is capable of providing the largest surface area for cell adhesion and functions as an oxygenator, a depth filter and a static mixer to maximize the production of cellular products by intermittently and periodically provide sufficient oxygen and nutrients to the cells without causing cell death. The device of the present invention is economical and can be disposable thus eliminating complications caused by sterlization and is capable of periodically and intermittently provide oxygen and nutrients to cells, through controlling the amount of culture medium that comes into contact with the growth substrate means.

Cell-cultivating device

A method and an apparatus for preparing and culturing cells, particularly bone marrow stromal cells. The method includes the steps of placing an oxygenator and a scaffold in a container, such as a syringe, withdrawing bone marrow stromal cells with the syringe, evenly distributing the cells on the scaffold, connecting the syringe with a reservoir with a medium to enrich the syringe with the medium, and promoting the medium level movement in the syringe to culture bone marrow stromal cells.

Method and apparatus for preparing and culturing cells

A cell-cultivating device includes a plurality of culture tanks and a driving device. The culture tanks communicate with each other and have culture medium inside. The driving device forces the culture medium to flow between the culture tanks so as to vertically oscillate medium levels in the culture tanks.
