A process for preparing a cyclic polysiloxazane is disclosed. The cyclic polysiloxazane may optionally be converted to an a-alkoxy-ou-amino-functional polysiloxane. The cyclic polysiloxazane or the a-alkoxy-oo-amino-functional polysiloxane, may be used as a capping agent for a silanol-functional polyorganosiloxane in a process to make an amino-functional polyorganosiloxane.

This invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising: (A) a film forming composition that can produce a tack free surface comprising: (I) a hydrosilylation reaction product of: (a) a silicone resin having the formula: (RRSiO)w(RRSiO)(RSiO)(SiO)wherein Ris a Cto Chydrocarbon group free of aliphatic unsaturation, Ris Ror an alkenyl group, w is from 0.3 to 0.6, x is from 0.0 to 0.2, y is 0, z is from 0.4 to 0.7, w+x+y+z=1.0, and w+z is from 0.85 to 1.0, with the proviso that the silicone resin (a) has at least two silicon-bonded alkenyl groups per number average molecule; (b) a polyether compound having the formula: RO(CHO)(CHO)Rwherein Ris a monovalent unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group containing 2 to 12 carbon atoms, c is from 0 to 50, d is from 0 to 50, and the value of c+d is greater than zero; (c) an SiH functional organopolysiloxane having the general formula: HRSiO(RSiO)(RHSiO)SiRHwherein c is 0 or 1, R can be identical or different and is a monovalent, optionally substituted hydrocarbon group with 1 to 18 carbon atoms per molecule, a and b are integers, with the proviso that the sum of a+b is 0 to 300, and wherein the organopolysiloxane contains SiH in amounts from 0.01 to 0.4 wt %; (d) a hydrosilylation catalyst; and (e) carrier solvent; and (II) a silicone resin having the formula: (RSiO)(SiO)wherein Ris a Cto Cto do hydrocarbon group free of aliphatic unsaturation, u is from 0.3 to 0.6, v is from 0.4 to 0.7, and the value of u+v is 1.0; and (B) at least one cosmetic ingredient.

Composition and method of preparation

A cosmetic composition comprises (A) a silicone elastomer. The (A) silicone elastomer comprises the reaction product of: (a) a branched organosiloxane; (b) a crosslinking agent; and (c) a hydrosilylation catalyst. The cosmetic composition further comprises (B) a carrier fluid. A method of preparing the cosmetic composition is also disclosed.

Siloxane composition

A composition is provided that includes an elastomer and an additive. The additive stabilizes the elastomer, although it may be useful for an alternate or additional purpose. The elastomer can have a moiety according to the general formula: A-B-A or B-A-B. Each A independently comprises a polysiloxane moiety having at least two siloxy (Si&#x2014;O) groups. Each B independently comprises a moiety, or a precursor thereof, having at least one carboxyl group. B is bonded to a silicon atom in A. The elastomer may comprise the reaction product of a reaction of: a first component having at least one reactive group; a second component having at least one reactive group; and a third component having at least two reactive groups reactive with the reactive groups of the first and second components. In addition, a cosmetic composition is provided that includes the elastomer, the additive, and at least one cosmetic component.

Long lasting cosmetic composition comprising silicone elastomer

A fluid composition comprises I) a first component and II) second component different from the first component I). The first component I) comprises at least one copolymer. The copolymer can include a cross-linked siloxane (e.g. a cross-linked aminosiloxane), a silicone polyether copolymer (e.g. an (AB)silicone polyether copolymer), and/or a saccharide siloxane copolymer. The second component II) comprises an organopolysiloxane resin (e.g. an MQ resin) and/or an acrylate copolymer. The fluid composition can further comprise a carrier fluid, such as a silicone, an organic solvent, and/or an organic oil. The fluid composition may have a viscosity of at least 100 mPa&#xb7;s at 23&#xb0; C. and exhibit pituitous rheological properties (generally determined from a plot of normal force (in Pascals) vs a perpendicular shear rate in (sec)). Also disclosed is a personal care composition that comprises the fluid composition.

A cross-linked composition comprises the reaction product of an organohydrogensiloxane and a cross-linker, in the presence of a hydrosilylation catalyst. The organohydrogensiloxane comprises siloxy units of average formula (I): (RSiO)(R&#x2014;SiO)(RRSiO)(RHSiO)(RRSiO)(RRSiO)&#x2014;(RSi&#x2014;O). Each of Rand Ris an independently selected hydrogen atom or a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbyl group. Ris a hydrogen atom or a group having at least one carboxyl group or a precursor thereof. Ris an independently selected substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbyl group. Further, a&#x2265;0, b&#x2265;0, c&#x2265;1, d&#x2265;0, and e&#x2265;1. The cross-linker has at least two aliphatic unsaturated hydrocarbon groups. A method of forming the cross-linked composition comprises the steps of providing the organohydrogensiloxane and cross-linker, and combining the organohydrogensiloxane and cross-linker in the presence of the hydrosilylation catalyst to form the cross-linked composition. A cosmetic composition is provided that includes the cross-linked composition and at least one cosmetic component.

A pituitous silicone fluid includes a hydrosilylation reaction product and a carrier fluid. The hydrosilylation reaction product is the reaction product of a first linear organopolysiloxane and a second linear organopolysiloxane. The first linear organopolysiloxane includes (RRRSiO) and (RRSiO) units. Each of R-Ris independently a hydrocarbon group so long as at least one of R1-R5 is an alkenyl group. In addition, the first linear organopolysiloxane has a degree of polymerization of from 100 to 15,000. The second linear organopolysiloxane includes (RRRSiO) and (RRSiO) units. Each of R-Ris independently a hydrocarbon group, polyether group, siloxane group, or polyol group, so long as at least one of R-Ris a hydrogen atom. In addition, the second linear organopolysiloxane has a degree of polymerization of from 4 to 1,000. The hydrosilylation reaction product includes alkenyl or Si&#x2014;H functionality. Personal care compositions can include the pituitous silicone fluid.

A cosmetic composition is provided that includes an elastomer and at least one cosmetic component optionally in a cosmetically acceptable medium. The elastomer is according to the general formula: A-B-A or B-A-B, wherein each A independently comprises a polysiloxane moiety having at least two siloxy (Si&#x2014;O) groups and wherein each B independently comprises a moiety, or a precursor thereof, having at least two carboxyl groups and wherein B is bonded to a silicon atom in A.

Cosmetic composition comprising a carboxy-functional elastomer

An aminosiloxane polymer includes at least one Si-bonded functional group. This functional group has the chemical formula: &#x2014;(R&#x2014;NH)R&#x2014;N(R)&#x2014;CH(&#x2014;COOH)(&#x2014;R&#x2014;C(&#x2550;O)&#x2014;NR) (I). In Formula (I), R is a C-Chydrocarbon group. Ris a C-Chydrocarbon group. Ris a hydrogen atom, a C-Chydrocarbon group, or a phenyl group. Ris a C-Chydrocarbon group. Each Ris independently a hydrogen atom, a C-Chydrocarbon group, a C-Chydroxyl-hydrocarbon group, or a phenyl group. Moreover, 'a' is 0 or 1, such that (R&#x2014;NH) is optional. The aminosiloxane polymer can be formed using the method of this disclosure and can be formed in, and/or included in, the emulsion of this disclosure.
