An integrated coal gasification combined cycle facility is provided that can prevent a reduction in power generation efficiency even when low-grade coal having a relatively-high moisture content is used. Included are: a gasification section that gasifies supplied coal; a gas power generation section that generates power by using gas supplied from the gasification section; a steam power generation section that generates power by using the heat of exhaust gas discharged from the gas power generation section; and a coal drying unit that dries the coal by using exhaust heat discharged from the steam power generation section and that supplies the dried coal to the gasification section.

A heavy oil emulsified fuel evaporator system is provided in which a heavy oil emulsified fuel, after being preheated at a preheater, flows into an evaporator to be heated and then to a separator for separation of its water content. The water content, after being separated, is used as a preheating source medium for said preheater, wherein water content separation at a predetermined level is enabled irrespective of load change in a heavy oil fuel combustion equipment, and no light oil content is discharged together with the separated water content. Heavy oil emulsified fuel is preheated at a preheater , is heated at an evaporator and flows into a separator to be separated of its water content. Water content, after being separated, is sent via a piping to be used as the preheating source medium for the preheater . Inlet temperature of the evaporator is maintained constant, and pressure in the piping for leading the preheating source medium into the preheater is also maintained constant. Further, temperature difference of outlet temperature relative to the inlet temperature of the evaporator is maintained constant. Thereby, the water content in the heavy oil fuel coming out of the separator can be maintained at a predetermined value.

Heavy oil emulsified fuel evaporator system and operation method thereof

A boiler recovers a soda component from pulp spent liquor and is able to prevent carry-over of unburnt char and deformation of a char bed configuration and to attain a stable combustion with low NO,generation. By regulating the combustion air supply, and feeding inert gas along a furnace side wall around the char bed, there are formed a combustion zone of reduction atmospheric field where air ratio in the surroundings of the char bed is 0.8 or less, a combustion zone of reduction atmospheric field where air ratio is 1.0 or less and unburnt components exist (including the case of a reduction atmospheric field where air ratio is 1.0 or less and unburnt components exist with the two combustion zones being combined together) and a combustion zone where combustion is completed.

Recovery boiler

A heavy oil emulsion fuel combustion apparatus is arranged, in a combustion apparatus using a heavy oil emulsion fuel, to prevent a decrease in the combustion efficiency due to water content in the fuel and to prevent an increase in the sulfuric acid dew point due to water content in the exhaust gas. A heavy oil emulsion fuel 101 from a fuel tank 100 is led to a fuel heater 110 and is heated. Then the heated heavy oil emulsion fuel 102 is led to a water content evaporator 120. In the water content evaporator 120, the heavy oil emulsion fuel 102 is heated by the use of extraction steam from a steam turbine facility 160 or steam produced through a steam converter 166, and the resulting fuel is led to a steam separator 140. In the steam separator 140, the fuel 111 is separated into steam and light oil combustible gas vapor 121 and a heavy oil portion 122, the latter 122 being used as boiler fuel 131. The steam and light oil combustible gas vapor 121 is used as a heat source for heating performed in the fuel heater 110.

Heavy oil emulsion fuel combustion apparatus

A burner for combustion of a pulverized coal mixture having two kinds of rich and lean concentration has a height of a burner panel reduced and the overall burner simplified. A rich/lean separator (10, 20, 30) is provided within a pulverized coal conduit (2) so that a high concentration mixture is formed in an outer peripheral portion and a low concentration mixture is formed in a central portion within a single pulverized coal conduit. Thus, a rich mixture burner and a lean mixture burner, which have been conventionally provided separately, may be formed into a single burner. Recirculation of air is accelerated by a cutaway slit (20d, 30d) provided in a central portion of the rich/lean separator to make the air flow rate distribution uniform in a pulverized coal nozzle. Also, a duct and an air blow box for the combustion air to be supplied to the pulverized coal flame are not integrally formed continuous in the height direction, but are divided into a plurality of discontinuous units.

A heavy oil emulsified fuel combustion furnace is provided which prevents lowering of combustion efficiency due to water content in the fuel as well as prevents elevation of sulfuric acid dew point due to water content in the flue gas of the combustion furnace. In the apparatus a heavy oil emulsified fuel (102) is heated by a heater (110) using a heat pipe etc. and then is separated by a water vaporizer (120) into heavy oil (122) and vapor (121) consisting of steam and a light oil combustible gas. The heavy oil (122) is supplied to a burner port of the combustion furnace, such as a boiler etc. The vapor (121) is condensed by a condenser (140) to produce liquid (141) comprising a mixture of water and light oil. The liquid (141) is separated by an oily water separator (150) into oil (151) and water (152). The oil (151) is used as a fuel for an igniting torch of the combustion furnace 10 and the water (152) is used partially as cooling water (41) for an SO.sub.X removal apparatus (40) and partially as an atomizing steam 9 or a soot blowing steam 8 in the boiler, etc.

Heavy oil emulsified fuel combustion equipment

In a coal gasification power generator, coal gas 500 obtained by gasifying a coal 100 by a gasifying furnace is introduced into a desulfurization furnace in which the coal gas 500 is desulfurized by limestone 400. A coal gas 501 after desulfurization is burned by a combuster 5 after it has passed through a dust removing unit 3 so that high temperature combustion gas 800 is supplied to a gas turbine. The gas turbine 7 drives a power generating unit. Exhaust gas 801 from the gas turbine is supplied to an exhaust gas boiler 8. Char 60a produced in the gasifying furnace and limestone 60b containing CaS emitted from the desulfurization furnace are burned in an oxidation furnace, and by using the resultant combustion gas, water vapor introduced from the exhaust gas boiler 8 is heated by a heat exchanger, and thereafter it is supplied to the gasifying furnace as a gas. With the above construction, chemical energy possessed by the coal is effectively converted into electric energy, and also the rate of desulfurization of coal gasifying gas is improved thereby reducing emitted sulfur oxide.

Coal gasification power generator

An improvement of a coal firing device applied to coal gasifiers, boilers for power generation, etc. On the inner walls of a ceiling portion (4) of a firing furnace (3) and of a throat portion (2) thereabove, and of a diffuser portion (6) further thereabove, where necessary, plate-like vortex breaker(s) (1A, 1B) is/are provided. Vortex flow of gas in the vicinity of the inner wall surface around the throat portion (2) is thereby weakened and molten slag sticking on the wall surface is suppressed to be pushed up by the gas. There occurs neither staying of molten slag at the diffuser portion (6) nor scattering of slag, and blockade of furnace due to solid-phase slag does not occur.

Coal firing device

In a coal gasification power generator, a coal gas 500 obtained by gasifying coal 100 by a gasifying furnace 1 is introduced into a desulfurization furnace 2 in which the coal gas 500 is desulfurized by limestone 400. A coal gas 501 after desulfurization is burned by a combuster 5 after it has passed through a dust removing unit 3 so that a high temperature combustion gas 800 is supplied to a gas turbine 7. The gas turbine 7 drives a power generating unit. An exhaust gas 801 from the gas turbine 7 is supplied to an exhaust gas boiler 8. A char 60a produced in the gasifying furnace 1 and limestone 60b containing CaS emitted from the desulfurization furnace 2 are burned in an oxidation furnace 4, and by using the resultant combustion gas, water vapor 30a introduced from the exhaust gas boiler 8 is heated by a heat exchanger 10, and thereafter it is supplied to the gasifying furnace 1 as a gas 700. With the above construction, chemical energy possessed by the coal 100 is effectively converted into electric energy, and also the rate of desulfurization of coal gasifying gas is improved thereby reducing emitted sulfur oxide.

A structure of a boiler, of the type in which pulverized fuel is burnt within a square barrel-shaped furnace having a vertical axis, is improved so that ignitability is improved and the amount of NO.sub.x produced is decreased. Burners for injecting pulverized fuel-air mixtures are disposed at the central portions of respective edges in a horizontal cross-section of a furnace wall and are inclined downwardly with respect to a horizontal plane. Also, under air nozzles for feeding air are disposed under the respective burners.

Apparatus for use in burning pulverized fuel

In order to stably maintain a combustion capability in a combustion furnace for coal gassification, it is necessary to exhaust molten slag produced within the furnace without the slag stagnating. The present invention provides, in a combustion furnace for coal gassification, a slag exhausting device which is configured in such a manner that the cooling of molten slag being exhausted from the furnace is minimized to prevent the slag from solidifying and causing other slag to stagnate. The slag exhausting device is disposed at the center of a bottom wall of the combustor, and has a lower cylindrical portion and an upper bank opening upwardly and flared at an angle of 300.degree.-45.degree.. The height H from the bottom wall to the top of the upper bank, a height L and an inner diameter ds of the cylindrical lower portion and a diameter D of the combustor are set to satisfy the relations of ds/D=0.2-0.4, L/ds=0.2-0.6 and H/D=0.05-0.15.

Coal combustor and slag exhausting device therein

A boiler furnace combustion system typically includes main burners disposed on side walls of or at corners of a square-barrel-shaped boiler furnace having a vertical axis, the burner axes being directed tangentially to an imaginary cylindrical surface coaxial to the furnace. Air nozzles are disposed in the boiler furnace at a level above the main burners, so that unburnt fuel left in a reducing atmosphere or a lower oxygen concentration atmosphere of a main burner combustion region can be perfectly burnt by additional air blown through the air nozzles. The present invention provides two groups of air nozzles disposed at higher and lower levels, respectively. The air nozzles at the lower level are provided at the corners of the boiler furnace with their axes directed tangentially to a second imaginary coaxial cylindrical surface having a larger diameter than the first imaginary coaxial cylindrical surface. And, the air nozzles at the higher level are provided at the centers of the side wall surfaces of the boiler furnace with their axes directed tangentially to a third imaginary coaxial cylindrical surface having a smaller diameter than the second imaginary coaxial cylindrical surface.
