The present invention makes a lap clearance between a fixed scroll and an turning scroll as small as possible to suppress leakage of compressed fluid from a compression chamber in a compression operation, thereby improving a compression efficiency. Provided is a scroll-type fluid machine characterized by comprising: a fixed scroll having a scroll lap portion; and an orbiting scroll that is provided to face the fixed scroll and that has a scroll lap portion turning so as to form a plurality of compression chambers in a clearance relative to the lap portion of the fixed scroll, wherein the lap portion of at least one of the fixed scroll and the turning scroll is provided with, in a predetermined region, a recessed portion on one lateral surface thereof and a protruding portion on the other lateral surface thereof.

A scroll-type fluid machine and maintenance method for same are provided in order to improve reliability and workability by supplying sufficient grease to necessary parts of an orbiting bearing or auxiliary crank bearing without entailing a complicated operation during maintenance. Scroll-type fluid machine and maintenance method for same

A compressor has a compressor body and a motor integrated with one another, with the structure in which the sub-assembly of the motor portion and the compressor body assembled by positioning centers of the motor and compressor casings with positioning pins. When the deformation of a flange surface of the motor casing is large on a side of the compressor casing, positioning pin holes may have positional dimensions where the positioning is difficult, and the rigidity of the motor casing is increased to avoid change to the dimensional positions of the pin holes of the motor casing after the sub-assembly process. Fastening seats to fasten a motor stator by use of fastening members and ribs to reinforce the fastening seats are thus provided inside the motor casing to increase rigidity of the motor casing and inhibit deformation of the positional dimensions of the positional pin holes.

The objective of the present invention is to provide a scroll-type fluid machine for which the service life can be improved by reducing the load applied to a rotation prevention mechanism. In a start-up control of the compressor body, the electromagnetic valve is opened, permitting communication of the pneumatic line in the plant with the intake port of the compressor body for power supply to an electric motor to drive an orbiting scroll. An internal gap of the main bearing is set to a value which is larger than a value obtained by subtracting the double value of an eccentric amount difference between an eccentric amount of an auxiliary crank shaft and an eccentric amount of the drive shaft from an internal gap of the orbiting bearing.

Scroll-type fluid machine that reduces centrifugal force of an orbiting scroll

In a seal system for a scroll type fluid machine, a seal mechanism is provided between a backpressure plate and a holder, so as to surround an orbiting backpressure chamber. The seal member comprises a seal attachment groove, a seal member and a Y-shaped packing. The seal attachment groove is stepped on its outer circumference to define a shallow bottom portion. The seal member includes, on its outer circumference side, a cutout portion matching the shallow bottom portion. The Y-shaped packing is disposed between a deep groove peripheral wall of the seal attachment groove and the cutout portion of the seal member, and a backpressure chamber is defined on a reverse surface side of the seal member. By this arrangement, a slide surface of the seal member can be larger than an effective area of the backpressure side of the seal member. Thereby it is possible to reduce a difference between a load Ff acting on the slide surface and a load Fb acting on the reverse surface.

A scroll fluid machine is capable of readily providing a back-pressure chamber having an increased pressure-receiving area and yet capable of being reduced in size.
