The ceiling fan includes: a body having a plurality of blades and an upper mounting pipe portion; a suspender which is fixed to a ceiling; a first pipe which is suspended from the suspender and suspends the body by the upper mounting pipe portion; and a second pipe which is accommodated in the inside of a lower portion of the first pipe and into which an upper portion of the upper mounting pipe portion is inserted. The first pipe, the second pipe and the upper mounting pipe portion are connected to each other by a connecting bolt which penetrates an overlapping part where the first pipe, the second pipe and the upper mounting pipe portion overlap with each other. A hollow projecting portion which projects from an outer peripheral surface of the second pipe is engaged with a recessed portion formed on an edge of a lower opening of the first pipe and a protruding portion formed on an outer peripheral surface of the upper mounting pipe portion thus restricting at least the relative movement among the first pipe, the second pipe, and the upper mounting pipe portion in the rotating direction of the blades.

In a ceiling fan in which root portions of blades are attached to a support portion to be rotary driven, a fall preventing member having a loop portion formed by a wire rod is provided, a through hole of which the loop portion of the fall preventing member penetrates is provided on the root portions of the blades, the support portion is provided with an engaging portion which is engageable with the loop portion of the fall preventing member, the loop portion of the fall preventing member is disposed to be engageable with the engaging portion of the support portion, the loop portion is engaged with the engaging portion of the support portion when an attachment part of the support portion and the blades is broken, and the blades are supported on the support portion through the loop portion of the fall preventing member in a state in which inner edges of the root portions of the blades are positioned on an outside of an outer edge of the support portion.

A ceiling fan includes a motor which rotates a plurality of blades, a shaft projecting from the motor, a pipe connected to an upper end of the shaft and which hangs from a ceiling surface, and a connecting rod for connecting the pipe and the shaft with each other via through holes formed in the pipe and the shaft, respectively. The ceiling fan also includes a displacement-correspondence tool which is displaced or which detects a displacement amount in correspondence with a relative positional displacement amount between the shaft and the pipe, and a power source control tool which controls energization to the motor in accordance with the displacement of the displacement-correspondence tool or the detected displacement amount.

A ceiling fan comprising a disc-like stator provided with a fixed shaft at the center, an annular rotor disposed in proximity to the periphery of the stator, a supporting frame fixed to the rotor and rotatably supported by the fixed shaft; a fan blade fixed to the supporting frame; and a retaining member having one end fixed to the supporting frame together with the fan blade and the other end coupled to the fan blade, wherein the fan blade comprises a root portion fixed to the supporting frame, a blade portion coupled with the retaining member, and an offset portion formed by bending between the root portion and the blade portion, thereby preventing the fan blade from being damaged easily even when it is impressed with a load and ensuring the safety even if the fan blade is broken since the blade portion is held coupled to the rotor side.

A ceiling fan includes a motor for rotating multiple blades. This motor includes a hollow shaft that is disposed upright on the center of a disc-like stator, and a rotor around an outer periphery of the stator. The rotor integrally rotates with the blades. This motor further includes a cylindrical bearing housing, and a pair of ball bearings including an upper ball bearing and a lower ball bearing housed in this bearing housing. This bearing housing has a base in its center. The upper ball bearing is disposed over the base, and the lower ball bearing is disposed under the base in this bearing housing. Both bearings are fixed onto the hollow shaft.
