A detection device includes: a transmitter that transmits a high-frequency signal as a transmission signal; a receiver that receives a reception signal including a reflection signal formed by reflecting the transmission signal at a target; and a controller that detects the target based on a frequency of the reflection signal, and changes a frequency of the transmission signal based on a frequency of the reception signal.

A wireless module including: a substrate that includes a first surface and a second surface on the back side of the first surface; a plurality of signal terminals that are provided on the first surface and the second surface, input and output signals; an antenna provided on the first surface; a signal processing circuit that is provided on the second surface, is connected between the signal terminals and the antenna, and performs various signal processings on signals input from the signal terminals and the antenna; wherein the signal terminals are arranged in horizontal symmetry on the first surface and the second surface, arranged at the same positions of the first surface and the second surface, and connected to a single signal line in the substrate.

A communication apparatus includes a detection unit that detects a first apparatus that is able to wirelessly communicate with the communication apparatus; a first selection unit that determines a route for communication between the communication apparatus and a communication destination, the route may include an intervening apparatus that relays communication between the communication apparatus and the communication destination, and selects, if plural routes are determined, a first route where a number of the intervening apparatuses is smallest from among the determined routes; and a second selection unit that, when two or more first routes are selected by the first selection unit, calculates, for each of the first routes, a sum of squares of each of first signal strength between two apparatuses in the determined first route as a second signal strength, and selects the route having the highest second signal strength from the determined first routes.

A diversity antenna apparatus includes a feed line through which radio communication power is transmitted, antennas connected in cascade through the feed line, and a first rectifier device placed in the feed line, wherein a first one of the antennas and a second one of the antennas each include a second rectifier device having an input terminal thereof connected to the feed line, an antenna device connected to an output of the first rectifier device, and a third rectifier device having an input terminal thereof connected to a connection point between the second rectifier device and the antenna device, and having an output terminal thereof grounded, wherein the first rectifier device placed in the feed line connects between the input terminal of the second rectifier device of the first one of the antennas and the input terminal of the second rectifier device of the second one of the antennas.
