A lock projection () is formed on a wall portion () of one connector (), and a lock receiving portion () for the lock projection () is provided at an elastic wall portion () of the other connector (). The connectors () are locked together by engaging the lock projection () with the lock receiving portion (). Cancellation convex portions () are formed on an inner surface of the elastic wall portion () of the other connector (), and the locking of the connectors () is canceled according to the principle of leverage in which the cancellation convex portions () serve as fulcrums. An operating flange () is formed on and extends from a fitting front end of the wall portion () of a hood portion (). The cancellation convex portions () are disposed between the lock receiving portionand the operating flange ().

Connector

A connector includes an electrically conductive plug provided with a retaining hole, and an insulating housing that has a retaining member shaped in a cantilever beam. The retaining member has a retaining claw portion. The retaining claw portion has a projecting portion formed at a proximal end side of the retaining member. The projecting portion is crashed by an edge portion of the retaining hole when the retaining claw portion is engaged with the retaining hole.

Connector having an improved locking structure

A connector includes an insulative holding member having a generally-cylindrical tubular shape, and a conductive shielding member which includes a cover portion for covering an outer peripheral face of the holding member and a clamping portion. The holding member has a receiving portion. The cover portion has an engaging portion which engages with the receiving portion. The holding member has a guide groove for guiding the engaging portion to the receiving portion, the guide groove extending from an end portion of the holding member along a first direction in which the holding member extends. The guide groove has a first end and a second end, the first end disposed on the end portion of the holding member, and the second end disposed so as to opposed to the first end. A width of the guide groove gradually increases toward the first end to the second end.

A pair of engaging holesare formed in side wall portions of the plug pinand a pair of engaging beamsare formed on side wall portions of an insulating housing, the engaging beamsbeing pushed by an external contactand moving toward a pin inserting holewhen the insulating housingwith the plug pinpress-fitted therein is inserted into the external contact. As a result, a pair of retaining pawlsare put in engagement with the engaging holes, whereby the plug pinand the insulating housingare fixed to each other. Since the plug pinand the insulating housingare fixed together by both press-fit engagement of the plug pininto the insulating housingand engagement of the retaining pawlswith the engaging holes, the strength of the fixing is enhanced.

A shielding terminal for a coaxial cable includes a first clamping portion, a second clamping portion and a junction portion. The first clamping portion clamps an insulative sheath of the coaxial cable. The second clamping portion clamps a exposed conductive braid portion of the coaxial cable. The junction portion is formed integrally between the first clamping portion and the second clamping portion. The junction portion extends around an outer periphery of the coaxial cable in which a winding angle of the junction portion with respect to the coaxial cable is not less than 180 degrees, and in which the winding angle of the junction portion is smaller than winding angles of the first clamping portion and the second clamping portion with respect to the coaxial cable respectively.

Shielding terminal for coaxial cable

A terminal removal jig, for removing a terminal within a connector housing, having an outer case with a guide groove, a positioning member which has a protruding portion to be engaged with a terminal insertion hole at a front end of the connector housing, an elastic body for urging the positioning member and an unlocking plate secured on the outer case and having an unlocking pin to be mated with a locking lance within the connector housing. The unlocking pin is located behind the protruding portion and is kept in contact with the outer wall of the positioning member. The protruding portion is engaged with the terminal insertion hole and the tip of the unlocking pin faces a terminal removal jig insertion hole opposite to the locking lance. A protruding strip is formed on the outer wall and a front guide hole is formed in the unlocking plate. The inner wall of the front guide hole is successive to the stem of the unlocking pin, a protrusion is formed on the positioning member, and a guide hole is formed in the unlocking plate.

Terminal removal jig

A coaxial connector includes a central contact, an insulating housing, a grounding shell and a clamp. Central contact, a cylindrical slim member, is formed by stamping a conductive thin metal sheet of phosphor bronze or other specially suitable material. The central contact has a forward end portion slotted to form a pair of leaf-spring-like contact pieces enabling resilient contact with both sides of plug pin. Plug pin is inserted into a contact receiving hole from the front side to establish electrical connections with contact pieces. Rear end portion of the central contact is integrally formed with an open-topped crimp barrel that has a U-shaped cross section in a plane perpendicular to the lengthwise direction of the central contact. Crimp barrel serves as a conductor connecting portion that is crimped into contact with the central conductor of the coaxial cable once the central conductor is inserted into the central contact from rear end portion.

Coax connector for preventing thermal degradation of transmission characteristics

An auxiliary machine module includes auxiliary machine a base plate equipped with the auxiliary machine; a case in which the base plate is mounted, and a connector tool for electrically connecting the base plate and the case. In this configuration, the number of components provided on the periphery of the auxiliary machine module, and the module can be reduced in size and weight in a simple structure. An inconvenience occurring in a conventional assembling operation can be also overcome.

Auxiliary machine module and method of manufacturing the same

A housing body is provided with a pair of first retainers and a plurality of terminal chambers for accommodating a plurality of connection terminals. A spacer is attached to the housing body for doubly retaining the connection terminals in the housing body. The spacer is provided with a pair of second retainers which is to be engaged with the first retainers when the spacer is attached to the housing body. A pair of finger pads are respectively protruded from outer faces of both side walls of the housing body, on which an user's fingers are abutted to perform connection with respect to a mating connector. The spacer is attached into a mounting hole formed in either a top face or a bottom face of the housing body so as to communicate with the respective terminal chambers and to include inner faces of the both side walls of the housing body. The width of the mounting hole is widened outwardly at portions opposing to the respective finger pads. At least a part of the first retainers are provided in the widened portion of the mounting hole.

The receptacle terminal has an electrical wire connection portion electrically connected to an electrical wire and an electrical connection portion receiving an opposing terminal pin. The electrical connection portion has a pair of walls accommodating a resilient piece. The resilient piece urges the pin against one of the pair of walls to pinch the pin therebetween. The receptacle terminal is constituted by a blank having parts corresponding to the base wall, the crimping piece, the pair of walls, and the resilient piece. The resilient piece has a joining piece and an extended strip joined to the joining piece. The extended strip of the blank extends along an insertion direction of the pin. The joining piece projects from a longitudinal edge of the one of the pair of walls.

Receptacle terminal

In a connector equipped with a rear holder, the rear holder in an open state is coupled with a housing of the connector by a fixing belt. A rear holder mounting device is provided with a cutter and slide bar. The cutter is moved to cut the fixing belt. The slide bar is moved to close the rear holder so that the rear holder is engaged in the housing. Thus, working before mounting the rear holder in the connector can be smoothly carried out. The rear holder, without being damaged or deformed, can be easily mounted in the connector.

Device for mounting rear holder in connector and method for mounting rear holder

A terminal has a base, a pair of caulking pieces integrally extending from the base, and a pair of bent pieces for regulating the movement of the electric wire. The caulking pieces are bent and retain the electric wire from over an insulating cladding thereof. The bent pieces integrally extend from the base and has an inclined surface contacting with the insulating cladding. The electric wire on the base is retained by the inclined surfaces and the caulking pieces at least from three directions. Accordingly, the lateral movement of the electric wire relative to the base when the terminal or the electric wire has been subjected to vibrations is regulated by bent pieces, whereby the impairment of the electric wire is prevented.

Terminal, and connection structure of terminal and electric wire

An insulation displacement contact terminal has a bottom plate, a pair of side plates, a pair of contact plates, and projecting portions. The side plates respectively extend from both side edges of the bottom plate and oppose each other. The contact plates are respectively partly bent from the side plates and oppose each other. Between the contact plates and the bottom plate are formed gaps. The gaps permit the contact plates to be moved in the direction of their being moved toward each other. Mutually opposing edges of the contact plates define a slot for receiving a clad electric wire therein. The clad electric wire has a core wire and a clothing portion that clothes the core wire. The width of the slot decreases with the movement of the contact plates. With the press insertion of the clad electric wire into the slot, the edges cut into the clothing portions and contact with the core wire. The projecting portions respectively project from the contact plates. The projecting portions are disposed at the bottom of the slot and oppose each other. The clad electric wire that has been pressed toward the bottom plate is made to press the projecting portions, with the result that the movement of the contact plates is caused.

Insulation displacement contact terminal

A combined connector in which a plurality of connector housings each including a plurality of terminal storage chambers therein are piled up on top of another and secured to one another in multiple stages in the vertical direction. In the combined connector, first securing projecting portions are provided in one of the mutually opposing upper and lower stage side connector housings arranged in the vertical direction, first securing recessed portions, into which the first securing projecting portions can be fitted, are provided in the other, second securing projecting portions and second securing recessed portions, into which the second securing projecting portions can be fitted, are respectively provided in a direction crossing at right angles to the first securing projecting and recessed portions, and introducing portions are provided in at least one of the first and second securing projecting portions.

Combined connector

A base plate strip is formed with an extension which is forwardly extending from an electrical contact barrel. A groove is provided in the extension such that the groove is extending across a fore open end of the electrical contact barrel. A fore end extended piece of a resilient contact tongue strip overlies the extension of the base plate strip. The resilient contact tongue strip is cut together with the base plate strip along the fore open end of said electrical contact barrel. This defines a stepped surface in the base plate at the open periphery of the electrical contact barrel and defines an engagement end piece at the fore end of the resilient contact tongue. The engagement end piece engages with the stepped surface to prevent the resilient contact tongue from moving in the insertion direction of an associated pin terminal.
