An insertion instrument includes an insertion portion, a tubular member that rotates about a longitudinal axis by a transmitted driving force, a flange portion that holds a position of the tubular member at an outer periphery of the insertion portion, a tapered portion having an outer diameter that gradually decreases toward a proximal end side, and an adhesive layer formed to smoothly connect a proximal end portion of the tapered portion and an outer periphery of the insertion portion.

A driving force transmission mechanism for an endoscope includes an insertion portion, an operation portion, an electric motor, an output member, a rotation transmission member, an inside plane, a first plane, a second plane and a third plane configured to come into contact with a proximal end of the output member when at least part of the second plane comes into contact with the inside plane to thereby restrict the rotation transmission member from moving toward the distal end side in the axial direction with respect to the output member.

Driving force transmission mechanism for endoscope and endoscope

A drive shaft extends inside a tubular section along a shaft axis, and the drive shaft rotates around the shaft axis while transmitting a driving force generated in a driving source to a driven portion. The drive shaft includes multiple extension sections, and a hard section. Each of the extension sections extends along the shaft axis. The hard section is interposed between two of the extension sections in a direction along the shaft axis, and has a higher rigidity in comparison to that of the extension sections.

Drive shaft, insertion instrument and insertion device

An insertion device includes a support member supporting a rotating tubular member between a base member and the rotating tubular member in diametrical directions and holding the rotating tubular member at a position where a rotation driving force is transmittable from a driving unit to an inner peripheral portion of the rotating tubular member connected to the driving unit. The insertion device includes a distal side ring member maintaining liquid-tightness between an outer peripheral portion of the base member and the inner peripheral portion of the rotating tubular member to a distal direction side of the driving unit placement cavity, and a proximal side ring member maintaining liquid-tightness between the outer peripheral portion of the base member and the inner peripheral portion of the rotating tubular member to a proximal direction side of the driving unit placement cavity.

Insertion device and rotating tubular member

An insertion body includes: a base arranged in the central axis; a rotating body provided on an outer periphery of the base and rotatable around the central axis; and a channel which includes a guide provided at the base such that the rotative force transmitting section is able to be guided between a first position in which the rotative force transmitting section in the longitudinal axis can be inclined from the central axis when the rotative force transmission unit is inserted from the outside to the inside and a second position in which the rotative force transmitting section in the longitudinal axis is parallel to the central axis and a rotative force can be transmitted to the rotating body from the rotative force transmitting section, and through which the rotative force transmission unit is inserted through the opening end and the guide.

Insertion body, insertion apparatus, rotation unit and rotative force transmission unit

An insertion device includes a movement section provided in an inserting section or an attachment unit attached to the inserting section, and moving to cause a propulsive force to act on the inserting section, a holdable grip provided to a proximal direction side with respect to the inserting section, and a driving source driven so as to generate a movement driving force to move the movement section. The insertion device includes a base member to which the grip is abutted, and a coupling member including a driving source-side abutting surface to which an outer peripheral surface of the driving source is abutted, and coupling the driving source to the base member.

Insertion device

An insertion device includes an idle state detector detecting an idle state in which an insertion section does not move in directions along the longitudinal axis when a rotation unit rotates in directions around the longitudinal axis, and a movement displacement calculator calculating a rotation direction and amount of the rotation unit based on a driving direction and amount of the driving member and calculating a movement displacement of the insertion section from a reference position in directions parallel to the longitudinal axis based on the rotation direction and amount of the rotation unit. The movement displacement calculator calculates the movement displacement of the insertion section so that a movement amount of the insertion section in the longitudinal directions while the idle state being detected is zero.

A driving force transmitting unit includes a line portion extending along a driving axis in a channel, and a slider portion attached to a proximal portion of the line portion and movable relative to the line portion along the driving axis. The driving force transmitting unit includes an urging portion contracting in response to a movement of the slider portion relative to the line portion toward a distal direction and thereby applying an urging force toward the distal direction to the line portion.

A cylindrical rotation unit attachable to an elongated insertion unit which includes a base in which a central axis is defined, and a rotation member provided on an outer circumference of the base movably in an axial direction of the central axis relative to the base and rotatably around the central axis in response to the rotation of a rotation force transmission portion which is rotatable around a longitudinal axis parallel with the central axis of the base includes: an engagement portion attachable to and detachable from an outer circumferential surface of the base; and a contact portion which is provided to contact on the rotation member away from the engagement portion and which disposes the rotation member on an outer circumference of the rotation force transmission portion while the engagement portion is engaged with the outer circumferential surface of the base.

Rotation unit, insertion apparatus, insertion body, and insertion system

The biological introduction apparatus includes a drive force generation and input mechanism, a drive force transmission mechanism, a helical rotation member, a holding member and a positioning mechanism. The positioning mechanism positions a proximal end portion of a main body portion which is arranged in the helical rotation member to an intermediate portion arranged between a distal end portion of an insertion unit and a proximal end portion of the insertion unit.

Biological introduction apparatus and endoscope having biological introduction apparatus

A medical apparatus includes a distal end portion provided at a distal end of an insertion portion that has functions of performing inspection, treatment or observation, a bending portion provided with first and second ends and configured so as to bend in two or more directions by connecting the first end to the distal end portion and connecting a plurality of bending pieces, a bending portion operation unit provided in an operation section connected to a proximal end of the insertion portion that causes the bending portion to perform bending operation and a neutral position restoring elastic member fixed to the first end side and the second end side that generates elasticity for causing the bending portion to restore to a neutral position.

Medical apparatus

An endoscopic system includes an insertion-section, a wire, an adjustment-unit, a memory, a shape-acquiring-unit and a controller. The insertion-section includes a tubular-section and a bending-section. The wire is inserted in the insertion-section and pulled and loosened to bend the bending-section. The adjustment-unit adjusts tensile force applied to the wire. The memory stores correspondent information including a relationship between increase/decrease information indicative of increase/decrease in the tensile force due to a shape of the tubular-section and shape information indicative of the shape of the tubular-section. The shape-acquiring-unit acquires the shape of the tubular-section. The controller obtains the increase/decrease information corresponding to the shape information acquired by the shape-acquiring-unit with reference to the correspondent information, generates an adjustment signal configured to drive the adjustment-unit based on the increase/decrease information, and outputs the adjustment signal to the adjustment-unit.

Endoscopic system

An insertion device includes a channel defining portion extended through an inside of an insertion section up to a base portion toward a distal direction and defining a channel that is open to an outside of the insertion section in an opening of an outer peripheral portion of the base portion, and a driving unit extended through an inside of the channel with a driving axis being an axial center and being rotatable in directions around the driving axis when driven. The insertion device includes a driving force receiving portion connected to a gear portion in the opening of the channel, and a support unit supporting the driving unit so that the driving axis is parallel to the longitudinal axis in the gear portion.

Insertion device, rotating tubular member, and driving unit

An endoscopic device includes a proximal side contact portion coming into air-tight contact with an outer peripheral portion of the insertion section, and a cavity is defined between the insertion section and a fixed member to a distal direction side of the proximal side contact portion. In a protruding state of a hood, a first path which makes an inside of the hood communicate with the cavity is defined, and the hood is in air-tight contact with the fixed member over an entire circumference in circumferential directions at a distal side contact portion. In a housed state of the hood, a second path which makes the cavity to communicate with an outside of the fixed member is defined.

Endoscopic device

A high-frequency treatment apparatus includes an insertion portion, a covering portion provided in a distal end portion of the insertion portion, an electrode portion provided in the covering portion, through which high-frequency current is to flow, including a side treatment portion arranged along an outer surface of the covering portion and a distal end treatment portion formed of a distal end portion of the electrode portion, and configured to be moved between a forward position where the distal end treatment portion is protruded from the covering portion with respect to a forward and backward movement direction and a backward position where the distal end treatment portion is arranged within the covering portion with respect to the forward and backward movement direction, and an operation member inserted through the insertion portion and connected to the electrode portion wherein the electrode portion is configured to be moved by operating the operation member.
