Disclosed herein is an acrylic resin film that is less likely to whiten on bending when laminated on a plastic molded body or the like, has well-balanced physical properties such as high surface hardness, excellent transparency, and excellent cracking resistance, and is therefore suitable for use in decorative molding. The acrylic resin film is obtained by forming, into a film, a methacrylic resin composition (D) containing a specific methacrylate-based resin (A), a rubber-containing four-stage graft copolymer (B) containing rubber particles having an average particle size of 0.2 to 0.4 &#x3bc;m, and a rubber-containing two-layer graft copolymer (C) containing rubber particles having an average particle size of 0.02 to 0.15 &#x3bc;m.

Acrylic resin film having excellent resistance to whitening on bending and excellent cracking resistance

The present invention provides a (meth)acrylic resin composition comprising a carboxylic acid group produced by heating a (meth)acrylic-based resin (C), wherein the (meth)acrylic-based resin (C) is obtained by polymerizing a monomer mixture (A) containing 80 to 99 wt % of a linear alkyl (meth)acrylate and 1 to 20 wt % of tertiary-butyl (meth)acrylate, in the presence of an acrylic acid ester-based crosslinked elastic particle (B) that is obtained by mixing and polymerizing 0.5 to 5 parts by weight of a polyfunctional monomer having at least two non-conjugated double bonds per molecule, with respect to 100 parts by weight of a monomer mixture containing 50 to 100 wt % of an alkyl acrylate monomer and 0 to 50 wt % of an alkyl methacrylate monomer. This composition can be used to produce a film having excellent chemical resistance (in particular, sun-screening agent resistance).

(Meth)acrylic resin composition, imidized (meth)acrylic resin composition, and film obtained by molding them

An acrylic resin composition suitable for use as films excellent in transparency, weatherability, hardness, impact resistance, flex cracking resistance, and formability. The resin composition comprises an acrylic graft copolymer (A) including a rubbery acrylic ester polymer (A-a) and a methacrylic polymer (B) comprising 80 wt. % or more methyl methacrylate units, the acrylic resin composition having a specific value of reduced viscosity (0.2-0.8 dl/g), specific values of content (5-45 wt. %) and average particle diameter (50-200 nm) of the rubbery polymer (A-a), a specific relationship between the particle diameter and the crosslinking agent amount (0.02d&#x2266;w&#x2266;0.05d; d, average particle diameter (nm); w, amount of crosslinking agent (wt. %)), and a specific value of the degree of grafting (50-250%). The resin composition contains an ultraviolet absorber incorporated therein through copolymerization.

Methacrylic resin composition

A resin composition suitable for forming a film excellent in transparency, weatherability, hardness, shock resistance, bending-fracturing resistance, and moldability; and a film excellent in weatherability even when laminated on a molded body comprising a PVC resin composition containing a plasticizer is provided. The film having the above characteristics can be obtained by making a methacrylic resin composition into a film, the methacrylic resin composition comprising a methacrylic resin composition (C) obtained by polymerizing a methacrylate polymer (A) obtained by polymerizing a monomer mixture mainly composed of alkyl methacrylate in the presence of acrylic crosslinked elastic particles (B) obtained by copolymerizing a monomer mixture mainly composed of alkyl acrylate and a polyfunctional monomer with two or more non-conjugated double bonds per a molecule; and being copolymerized with 0.01 to 50 parts by weight of an ultraviolet absorber represented by the general formula (1).
