A fuel cell system includes a stack case and an auxiliary device case. The stack case stores a stack including a power generation cell stack body including a plurality of power generation cells stacked horizontally in a stacking direction, and an insulating plate stacked at an end of the power generation cell stack body in the stacking direction. The auxiliary device case stores a fuel cell auxiliary device. The inside of the stack case and the inside of the auxiliary device case that are adjacent to each other in the stacking direction are separated by a partition wall. The partition wall has ventilation connection ports. The ventilation connection ports connect the inside of the stack case with the inside of the auxiliary device case. The insulating plate provided closer to the partition wall, than the power generation cell stack body, inside the stack case faces the ventilation connection ports.

Fuel cell system

A fuel cell stack includes a cell stack body including a plurality of stacked power generation cells together. A metal plate and an elastic seal member are overlapped with each other at a position facing a bead seal formed on an end metal separator. A support member includes a recess accommodating the metal plate. A gap is provided between an inner peripheral end of the metal plate and the recess, or between an outer peripheral end of the metal plate and the recess, for absorbing thermal expansion difference between the metal plate and the support member.

Fuel cell stack

At one end of a fuel cell stack in a stacking direction, an insulating plate and an end plate are provided. Further, a bypass channel connecting a reactant gas supply passage and a second reactant gas discharge passage is formed between a cell stack body and the end plate. An oxygen-containing gas supplied from a reactant gas supply passage is distributed to a first reactant gas discharge passage and the second reactant gas discharge passage in the fuel cell stack.

A permanent magnet is expressed by a composition formula: RFeMCuCo. M is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Zr, Ti, and Hf. The magnet includes a crystal grain having a main phase including a TbCucrystal phase, and a volume ratio of the TbCucrystal phase to the main phase is 95% or more.

An exhaust apparatus for discharging exhaust gas from a stack case housing a fuel cell stack includes an exhaust duct in communication with an exhaust port of a vehicle and the stack case and a filter case provided to the exhaust duct and housing a filter. A curved exhaust flow path in which a flow path curves at a plurality of locations is provided in the filter case.

Exhaust apparatus

In a fuel cell stack, voltage detecting terminals are disposed on a second separator and a third separator of a power generation unit, whereas a voltage detecting terminal is not disposed on a first separator of the power generation unit. Among terminal plates of the fuel cell stack, another voltage detecting terminal is disposed only on the terminal plate that is in contact with the first separator.

A fuel cell stack includes a stacked body, insulators, end plates, heat insulating members, and terminal plates. In the stacked body, a plurality of power generation cells are stacked in a stacking direction. Each of the plurality of power generation cells includes a separator and an electrolyte electrode assembly which includes an electrolyte and a pair of electrodes sandwiching the electrolyte therebetween. The stacked body has a first end portion and a second end portion opposite to the first end portion in the stacking direction. The insulators are provided at the first end portion and the second end portion of the stacked body, respectively. Each of the insulators has a recessed portion that faces toward the stacked body. The end plates are provided on the insulators, respectively. The heat insulating members are each provided in the recessed portion. The terminal plates are each provided in the recessed portion.

A fuel cell stack includes fuel cells stacked in a stacking direction, a first end plate a second end plate, and first tightening members and second tightening members. The first tightening members couple long sides of the first end plate and long sides of the second end plate, and extend in the stacking direction. The second tightening members couple short sides of the first end plate and short sides of the second end plate, and extend in the stacking direction. Extensions are formed on both of long sides of the fuel cell, and the first tightening members have recessed portions engaged with the extensions.

A fuel cell stack includes a terminal plate, an insulating member, and an end plate at one end of a stack body formed by stacking a plurality of power generation cells. A heat insulating member and the terminal plate are placed in a recess of the insulating member. The heat insulating member is formed by stacking metal plates and metal plates together alternately. The metal plate is formed by cutting the outer end of a first metal separator of the power generation cell into a frame shape and the metal plate is formed by cutting the outer end of a second metal separator of the power generation cell into a frame shape.

A fuel cell stack includes a stack body formed by stacking a plurality of power generation cells. At one end of the stack body, a terminal plate, an insulating member, and an end plate are stacked. At the other end of the stack body, a terminal plate, an insulating member, and an end plate are stacked. A coolant channel is formed between the insulating member and the end plate for allowing a coolant to flow along a surface of the end plate.

A fuel cell includes an electrolyte electrode assembly, an inner seal member, an outer seal member, a metal separator, and a cell voltage monitor terminal. The electrolyte electrode assembly includes an electrolyte, a pair of electrodes, and a resin frame member. The inner seal member extends around an electrode surface. The outer seal member extends around an outer periphery of the inner seal member. The inner seal member and the outer seal member are disposed on the resin frame member. The cell voltage monitor terminal is embedded in the resin frame member. The cell voltage monitor terminal includes an exposed portion provided between the inner seal member and the outer seal member. The exposed portion is in contact with the metal separator adjacent to the exposed portion.

To provide a technique by which an accumulated tolerance caused by the arrangement of terminal fittings is eliminated to improve the workability in a multipole cell-voltage detection connector. When all of receptacle terminals () are inserted into receptacle insertion groove parts (), each of the receptacle terminals () is buckled at a bending hole () and a mark-off part () formed as a boundary of a receptacle root part () and a receptacle front part (). Because the receptacle insertion groove parts () are formed in a state where there is substantially no tolerance, the terminal pitch tolerance correction housing () is fitted to receptacle units (), and the receptacle terminals () (receptacle front parts ()) protruded from the receptacle insertion groove parts () toward a bottom inner surface () are corrected to a state where there is no tolerance.

Cell-voltage detection connector

A fuel cell stack includes a stack of fuel cells. Each of the fuel cells includes a membrane electrode assembly and a separator that are stacked. The membrane electrode assembly includes an electrolyte membrane and a pair of electrodes sandwiching the electrolyte membrane therebetween. The terminal plate, the insulation plate, and the end plate are stacked at each end of the stack of the fuel cells in a stacking direction of the fuel cells. The terminal plate has a plurality of spaces formed therein. The spaces are separated from each other by a partition wall. A connection terminal is disposed on a plate surface of the terminal plate. The plate surface faces the insulation plate, at a position at which the connection terminal does not overlap the partition wall in the stacking direction. The connection terminal protrudes outward from the end plate in the stacking direction.

A fuel cell stack includes a stack body formed by stacking a plurality of power generation cells. At opposite ends of the stack body in a stacking direction, end plates are provided. A second power collecting terminal protrudes outwardly from the end plate. One end of a bus bar is electrically connected to the second power collecting terminal such that the bus bar extends along an end plate surface intersecting the second power collecting terminal. A high voltage cable is connected to the other end of the bus bar. The high voltage cable is drawn toward the end plate.

A fuel cell stack includes a stack body formed by stacking a plurality of power generation cells. A terminal, an insulating plate, and an end plate are provided at one end of the stack body, and a terminal, an insulating plate, and an end plate are provided at the other end of the stack body. Each of the terminals includes an electrically conductive plate member, and an electrically conductive rod terminal joined integrally with the electrically conductive plate member. A joint portion joining the electrically conductive plate member and the electrically conductive rod terminal is formed by friction stir welding.
