A connector comprises two holding members, two terminal rows, a midplate and a shell. Each of the holding members is lightly press-fit into the shell. Each of the terminal rows has a plurality of terminals. The terminals of each of the terminal rows include a specific terminal. The specific terminal has an exposed portion. The exposed portion is, at least in part, exposed from the holding member in an up-down direction perpendicular to a pitch direction. The midplate has a receiving portion. The exposed portion is brought into contact with the receiving portion. One of the holding member and the shell is formed with at least one light press-fit portion. A position of the at least one light press-fit portion overlaps with a position of the exposed portion in a front-rear direction perpendicular to both the up-down direction and the pitch direction.

Connector

A connector includes a plurality of contacts, a holding member and a shell. The holding member has a main portion and a tongue portion. The main portion includes three or more positioned portions. The shell is formed with a hole and three or more positioning protrusions. The hole has a closed periphery on a surface of the shell. The hole pierces the shell in a first direction perpendicular to a mating direction. The positioning protrusions occupy zones, respectively, in the mating direction. The zones overlap with each other in the mating direction. The positioning protrusions include a first positioning protrusion and two second positioning protrusions. The first positioning protrusion forms a part of the closed periphery of the hole. The first positioning protrusion faces the hole. When the shell is viewed alone, at least one of the second positioning protrusions is visible through the hole.

Electrical connector

A connector is provided with a plurality of contacts, a holding member and a shell. Each of the contacts has a held portion and a fixed portion. The holding member has a holding portion holding the held portion, a front regulated portion and a rear regulated portion. The shell is formed with front regulating portions, opening portions and rear regulating portions extending in the opening portions. The front regulating portionsare located forward of the front regulated portionand regulate forward movement of the front regulated portions. The rear regulating portionsare located rearward of the rear regulated portionsand regulate rearward movement of the rear regulated portions. At least a part of the fixed portionsof the contactsis visible through any one of the opening portions.
