A drape for use in cranial surgical procedures including a sterile sheet and a plurality of fluid-collection pouches surrounding a cranial region fenestration. The drape further includes a thoracic region fenestration for concurrent or directly subsequent thoracic surgical procedures. Advantageously, the drape allows for a superior aseptic surgical field and superior drainage facilitated by a multi-pouch configuration.

A surgical gown () includes a body-covering portion () and, optionally, sleeves (). A surgery procedure verification card () can be attached to the surgical gown (). The surgery procedure verification card (), which can be configured to be selectively detachable from the surgical gown (), is configured to facilitate a start of a surgical procedure after completion of a predetermined procedure. The surgical gown () can be color coded to indicate a barrier level or the presence of the surgery procedure verification card (). The surgical gown () can be included in a surgical pack (). A medical drape includes a patient drape () and a radial drape attachment (). The radial drape attachment can be coupled to the patient drape by way of an adhesive coupling (). The radial drape attachment includes defines one or more fenestrations () or apertures through which a central line may be inserted. Some or all of the radial drape attachment ()can be transparent or pellucid. Portions of the radial drape attachment can be opaque as well. A support layer can be configured to be absorptive, fluid impenetrable, or both. A tourniquet () may be integrated with the radial drape attachment, as can one or more tool-less removal features (). Pouches () can be added to catch fluids or hold medical implements during a procedure.

A medical drape () includes an upper portion () and a lower portion (). The upper portion () can be pellucid, while the lower portion () can be opaque. To facilitate central catheter insertion, the upper portion () can define one or more apertures () through which a central line may be inserted. A tourniquet () may be integrated with the drape, as can one or more tool-less removal features ().

A surgical drape, system and method of using comprise a surgical drape having a fenestration to be placed over a surgical site of a patient. The surgical drape includes a barrier removably attached to the surgical drape and adapted for placement over a portion of the fenestration to prevent the start of the surgical procedure. Upon verification of a set of predetermined conditions, the barrier is removed by a member of the surgical staff in order to begin the surgical procedure.

A holder () for medical implements includes a base member () and at least one medical implement receiver (). Each medical implement receiver () includes a pair of retention members () extending from the base member (). Opposing faces () of the retention members () define an implement receiving recess (). Slots () are provided in the opposing faces () to facilitate reception of syringe needle cap rims (). The holder () can be configured as a medical tray () that can be attached to one or more other medical trays, including one having cup holders (), one including a needle containment receptacle (), or other medical trays.
