Systems and method for a hydrokinetic energy device. A hydrokinetic energy device includes a main body including two main wing-shaped spars mounted upon a rotating central hub, and rotatable spar tip turbines mounted at or near an end of each of the main wing-shaped spars, the main wing-shaped spars driving the rotatable spar tip turbines through water, each of the rotatable spar tip turbines including a direct-drive generator and power conversion system that transfers power from a rotating rotatable spar tip turbine to the central hub where the voltage is stepped up and amperage is reduced.

Hydrokinetic energy device

A static mixer includes a tubular body having a sidewall with an upstream end, a downstream end opposite the upstream end, and an inner surface. The upstream end has a surface defining an upstream opening into the body. The downstream end has a surface defining a downstream opening exiting the body. The upstream opening, the downstream opening, and inner surface define a passageway through the body for transport of a first fluid therethrough. A primary fin may depend from the inner surface of the body and into the passageway. The primary fin may have a curved fin with a flow surface. A secondary fin may extend into the passageway adjacent to the primary fin, the secondary fin may have a curved flow surface that curves opposite to the flow surface of the primary fin. The secondary fin may be offset upstream or downstream from the primary fin.

A distributor for a circulating dry scrubber reactor includes a venturi section with a venturi section wall extending from a venturi section inlet to a venturi section outlet along a longitudinal axis, with the venturi section inlet connected to an inlet plenum and the venturi section outlet connected to a circulating dry scrubber reactor. A hub is mounted within the venturi section wall with an annular converging-diverging flow path defined between the venturi section wall and the hub for distribution of gas flow from the venturi section outlet into a circulating dry scrubber reactor space and for maintaining stable bed fluidization in a CDS system at a comparatively low system pressure loss.
