A drug delivery assembly comprising a magnetic indicator and a sensor system is provided. The indicator is arranged to rotate and move axially relative to a housing component and corresponding to a reference axis, the amount of rotation being indicative of the size of an expelled dose amount. The sensor system comprises a sensor component adapted to measure a property of the indicator indicative of a rotational position and/or a rotational movement of the indicator. The sensor component forms part of release assembly adapted to be moved into engagement with a release member to release a set dose, and subsequently to move axially together with indicator.

Drug delivery assembly with moving sensor system

A drug delivery assembly comprising a sensor system in combination with an indicator arranged to rotate, the amount of rotation being indicative of the size of an expelled dose amount. The sensor system comprises a sensor assembly adapted to measure a rotational position and/or a rotational movement of the indicator, the sensor assembly comprising a sensor element adapted to be operated at a non-constant sampling frequency. A processor is configured to determine on the basis of measured values from the sensor element rotational position(s) and/or amount of rotational movement of the indicator, as well as rotational speed of the indicator. To optimize energy consumption the processor is configured to dynamically control the sampling frequency in response to the determined rotational speed.

Drug delivery assembly with sensor sampling feature

The present invention relates to an electronically assisted injection device adapted to inject doses of a drug from a held cartridge. The injection device may include a first rotational sensor () coupled to a driver () for sensing a dose setting and a second rotational sensor () coupled to a dosing member () for sensing an expelled dose. A third axial sensor () provides information relating to the axial position of the driver (). A control circuit is adapted to determine the end of dosed state based on data from the first, the second and the third sensors (). The injection device may also include an arrangement for determining fluid ingress into the interior of the injection device. The arrangement includes an electrically non-conductive surface portion () disposed on a first component () and an electrode assembly () disposed on a second component () wherein the first component () and the second component () moves relative to each other during operation.
