An extendable and contractible flexible joint having a pair of flexible joint portions, which are bendable and fitted and connected to a connection sleeve, in a direction of a pipe axial line. An extending motion limiting portion includes a fluid chamber into which a portion of a pressure fluid in a flow path diverges and flows, and is configured to apply a fluid pressure applied to pressure receiving surfaces of the fluid chamber. An inner joint body of each of both the flexible joint portions is configured to be attachable and detachable to and from the connection sleeve, and an outer joint body and the inner joint body of each of both the flexible joint portions are configured to be attachable and detachable to and from each other.

Extendable and contractible flexible joint

A supporting device for non-averaged force in a pipeline comprised of a frame that is fixed to a supporting portion and a fixing mechanism for fixing a pipe body to the frame, wherein wedge bodies capable of blocking movements of the pipe body in a pipe axial direction with respect to the frame are provided when being pressed against an outer surface of the pipe body through pressing force acting from the frame towards the pipe body.

A spacer-less type pipe joint comprises a press ring which has a protruding portion at its outer periphery and is fitted to an outer periphery of one end side of jointed pipe, a joint main body which has a protruding portion opposing the protruding portion of the press ring at a side opposing the press ring and a receiving opening portion which is extended toward the press ring at the inner peripheral side of the protruding portion of the joint main body and which is fitted to the outer periphery of the jointed pipe with a peripheral clearance being formed there between, a securing tool which can move the press ring in a direction of the joint main body, and a packing ring which is provided between the joint main body and the jointed pipe and fitted into the receiving opening portion by its elastic deformation due to direct press of the press ring moved by operation of the securing tool.

Spacer-less type pipe joint and packing ring used for the same

A reinforcement fitting provides shrinkage and expansion capabilities while maintaining sealability at the connection between existing pipes. The reinforcement fitting includes an externally fitting portion with an inside diameter that can fit over the existing pipes, a contact member installed in a recessed portion formed on the inside of the externally fitted portion having a tapered contact surface and a contact portion to contact with an outer surface of one of the existing pipes wherein contact resistance with one of the existing pipes increases when an external force is exerted in the direction to separate the existing pipes, an engagement portion which is able to engage with a flange portion of the other existing pipe when the external force is exerted in the direction to separate the existing pipes, and a cut out portion formed at an outer side of the reinforcement fitting for establishing a clearance for a protruded portion used in connecting the existing pipes.

Reinforcement fitting

An external cover pipe is adapted to be fixedly fitted over a fluid transport pipe made of synthetic resin via an elastic seal. The cover pipe includes a plurality of split pipe members divided in the peripheral direction of the pipe which cooperate to compress the elastic seal in association with a fastening operation of a fastener for fastening and joining together the split pipe members disposed adjacent each other in the peripheral direction. Each split pipe member includes, in an inner peripheral face thereof, a deformation limiting face for coming into contact with an outer peripheral face of the fluid transport pipe in association with the fastening operation of the fastener so as to limit radial deformation of the fluid transport pipe. This deformation limiting face is provided at a portion in the inner peripheral face of the split pipe member located at a position axially offset toward an extreme axial end of the external cover pipe away from a portion thereof where the elastic seal is attached.

External cover pipe for fluid transport pipe

A construction for fixing a pipe joint is disclosed. The construction includes a pipe joint body within which a fluid transport pipe is connected and engaged in a sealed state via an elastic seal, a press ring fitted on the fluid transport pipe, the press ring being peripherally divided to provide a plurality of press-ring segments, a fastener for fasting each press-ring segment to a connecting portion of the pipe joint body along a pipe axis direction, and a retainer member interposed between an outer peripheral face of the fluid transport pipe and an inner peripheral face of the press ring, the retainer member being capable of radially biting into the outer peripheral face of the fluid transport pipe. A cam surface formed in the inner peripheral face of the press ring is operable to reduce the retainer member radially with a relative movement between the pipe joint body and the press ring along the pipe axis direction in association with a fastening operation by the fastener. The pipe joint body and each press-ring segment include, at respective portions thereof opposed to each other along the pipe axis direction, an engaging recess and an engaging projection which come into engagement with each other along the pipe axis direction in association with the fastening operation by the fastener so as to restrict a relative radial displacement between the pipe joint body and each press-ring segment.

Fixing construction for pipe joint

A pipe connecting apparatus for connecting a first pipe with a second pipe inserted into the first pipe member is disclosed. The apparatus includes an elastic seal to be disposed within a gap formed between an inner peripheral face of the first pipe and an outer peripheral face of the second pipe, the elastic seal being compressed in an axial direction along the axis of the first pipe for sealing the gap, a press ring fitted on the second pipe, the press ring being movable on the outer peripheral face of the second pipe in the axial direction, and a retainer member fitted on the second pipe, the retainer member having a locked condition in which the retainer member is pressed against the second pipe and a released condition in which the retainer member is radially expanded to be released from the locked condition, the retainer member being switched over from the released condition to the locked condition in association with a movement thereof relative to the press ring. A sequentially operative mechanism is operative to press the elastic seal alone in the axial direction while the retainer member is at the released condition in a first state where the compressive force is low, the sequentially operative mechanism being operative to allow the retainer member to be switched over to the locked condition in a second state where the compressive force is high.
