A control system for controlling movement of a stent delivery system, a stent delivery system and a method for controlling movement of a stent delivery system are provided. The control system includes a housing having a chamber formed therein, a first drive at least partially positioned within the housing and operably connected to the first shaft of the delivery system and a second drive at least partially positioned within the housing and operably connected to the second shaft. The control system also includes a pressure controller operably connected to the housing and configured to change the pressure within the chamber. The first drive and the second drives are movable in response to the pressure change within the chamber and movement of the second drive relative to the first drive causes the second shaft to move relative to the first shaft to expand or constrain a stent operably connected thereto.

Control system for a stent delivery system

A control system for controlling movement of a medical device delivery system, a stent delivery system and a method for controlling movement of a medical device delivery system are provided. The control system includes a first extendable arm comprising a plurality of first struts interconnected at intermediate points and end points of the first struts. The first arm is movable between a first position and a second position and the first arm is operably connected to one of the first shaft and the second shaft. The control system also includes a first actuator operably connected to the first arm and the first actuator is operable to move the first arm from the first position to the second position. Movement of the first arm moves the first shaft relative to the second shaft to change the position of the second shaft relative to the first shaft.

A catheter system includes an introducer sheath and a delivery catheter having an external surface. A sleeve connector is supported on and axially movable relative to the external surface of the delivery catheter. A collapsible sleeve has a first end attached to the external surface of the delivery catheter at a first attachment and a second end attached to the sleeve connector at a second attachment. The catheter system includes a medical device placement configuration in which the delivery catheter is received through the introducer sheath, the sleeve connector is removably attached to the introducer sheath, and the collapsible sleeve is positioned radially between the external surface of the delivery catheter and an internal surface of the introducer sheath.

A wire collection device for a stent delivery system includes a plurality of nested wire collection drums with a first drum concentric in a second drum. A thumbwheel coupled to the first drum can rotate to actuate rotation of the first drum to collect the retraction wire around the diameter of the first drum. A catching mechanism can rotate about the first drum to engage a catch portion of the second drum and actuate rotation of the second drum to collect the retraction wire around the outer diameter of the second drum. This increases the collection diameter of the retraction wire to provide a mechanical advantage for sheath retraction.

A system for the delivery and repositioning of a stent is provided that allows the stent to be reconstrained after full or partial expansion for deployment to and removal from a target region.

Reconstrainable stent system

A medical device delivery system includes a catheter defining an inner space, and an outer retractable portion positioned over the catheter and defining an annular space between the catheter and the outer retractable portion. At least one bypass opening through a sidewall of the catheter fluidly connects the inner space and the annular space. A tubular sealing member is positioned in the annular space proximal to the bypass opening. The tubular sealing member is movable between a compressed state in which proximal fluid flow through the annular space is inhibited by the tubular sealing member, and a non-compressed state in which proximal fluid flow through the annular space at the tubular sealing member is permitted.

Medical device delivery system and method of flushing same

The present embodiments provide apparatus and methods for facilitating endoscopic resection of tissue. In one embodiment, the apparatus comprises a first tube having proximal and distal regions, and a working lumen disposed within at least a portion of the distal region. A second tube is disposed circumferentially around at least a portion of the distal region of the first tube. A wire has a distal end that is securely attached to a distal region of the second tube. In use, rotation of the second tube relative to the first tube causes the wire to pass circumferentially over a distal face of the first tube to incise tissue disposed within the working lumen of the first tube.

Endoscopic systems and methods for resection of tissue

A stent delivery system and a method for releasably constraining a stent and a method of implanting a stent are provided. The stent delivery system includes an elongate shaft including a proximal portion, a distal portion, a lumen extending at least partially therethrough, and a stent receiving portion on the distal portion of the shaft. The stent delivery system also includes a stent positioned at the stent receiving portion of the elongate shaft, the stent having a constrained configuration and an expanded configuration. A first biasing member is operably connected to the shaft and the stent and a second biasing member is operably connected to the shaft and the stent. The first and second biasing members have a first configuration cooperatively applying a longitudinal tensioning force to the stent and a second configuration cooperatively releasing the longitudinal tensioning force on the stent.
