A computing device may include a memory and a processor cooperating therewith to receive a plurality of data streams from at least one data source to be relayed to different destinations on demand, where each data stream has a respective content identifier associated therewith. The processor may further determine when a first one of the data streams for a first destination shares identical data with a second one of the data streams for a second destination based upon the respective content identifiers associated therewith, and suspend relaying the second data stream to the second destination, and begin relaying the first data stream to the second destination, based upon the determination that the first and second data streams share identical data based upon the respective content identifiers associated therewith.

Computer network providing redundant data traffic control features and related methods

Messages are delivered in a mobile network by creating a communication route between a source node and a destination node comprised of virtual routers, each virtual router being fixed to a particular geographical area and including a plurality of mobile nodes, each of the mobile nodes being available to forward a data packet on behalf of a virtual router, and each mobile node upon receiving a data packet sent over the communication route monitoring for forwarding of the data packet by another mobile node and, if such forwarding is not detected, the mobile node forwarding the data packet.

Systems and methods for mobile communications

One method of redirecting an in-process backup operation to a new storage device involves receiving a request to perform a backup from a backup application. In response to reception of the request, the method causes backup information generated by the backup application to be stored on a first storage device. The first storage device is monitored in order to detect how much free space is available. If the amount of space available on the first storage device drops below a threshold amount prior to completion of the backup, the backup is redirected by causing any subsequent backup information generated by the backup application to be stored on a second storage device. Metadata associated with the backup identifies that information associated with the backup is stored on both the first storage device and the second storage device.
