A battery module according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a battery cell stack in which a plurality of battery cells are stacked; a casing configured to surround the battery cell stack; and a heat transfer member to cool or heat the battery cells. The heat transfer member is disposed between any two adjacent battery cells of the battery cell stack. The heat transfer member is spaced apart from the battery cells and is configured to move into contact with the battery cells to cool or heat the battery cells.

Battery module, and battery pack and vehicle comprising same

A battery module includes a cell assembly having a plurality of secondary batteries and a plurality of heat dissipation plates interposed between the plurality of secondary batteries. At least a portion of a front end and a rear end of the heat dissipation plates is recessed to form an inlet portion and an outlet portion so that a coolant is introduced from the outside or discharged to the outside, and the heat dissipation plates have a coolant moving portion so that the coolant moves to a front end, an upper end, a lower end and a rear end of the secondary batteries. A bus bar assembly has a plurality of bus bars and a bus bar frame having insert holes into which the electrode leads of the secondary batteries are inserted; an end cover having a vent hole communicating with the coolant moving portion and a plurality of side plates.

Disclosed is a battery pack configured to prevent its components such as a cell assembly from being broken or damaged even though a physical force such as vibrations and impacts is applied to the battery pack. The battery pack includes a cell assembly having a plurality of secondary batteries; an electronic component plate having a plate shape and configured to allow at least one electronic component to be mounted thereon; a lower housing configured to have an inner space with an open top and to accommodate the cell assembly and the electronic component plate therein; and an upper housing configured to cover the open top of the lower housing, wherein coupling members are respectively provided between a lower portion of the cell assembly and the lower housing, between an upper portion of the cell assembly and the electronic component plate, between the electronic component plate and the upper housing, and between the lower housing and the upper housing to couple and fix each other.

Disclosed is a battery pack, which allows easy assembling and exchange of electrical equipment and has an uncomplicated structure. The battery pack includes at least one battery module, the battery module including a plurality of secondary batteries, and an electrical equipment plate having a plate shape on which at least two of a battery management system (BMS), a current sensor, a relay and a fuse are mounted, the electrical equipment plate being electrically connected to the at least one battery module.

Provided is a battery module having improved sealing properties of a cooling duct. The battery module includes a battery stack, in which an inlet of an air flow path is opened at one side and an outlet of the air flow path is opened at another side, and a plurality of cooling ducts combined to two side portions of the battery stack to respectively communicate with the inlet of the air flow path and the outlet of the air flow path. At least one of the plurality of cooling ducts includes a plug accommodating part defining a through hole, and a harness accommodating plug air-tightly inserted into the through hole and having a plurality of wire accommodating holes. The harness accommodating plug passes a wire of the internal harness or a wire of the external harness through the wire accommodating hole. The internal harness and the external harness are electrically combined around the harness accommodating plug.

Battery module having improved cooling duct sealing properties

Provided is a battery module suitable for cooling battery cells between battery cartridges within a short period of time by including cooling ducts at side portions of the battery cartridges to restrict inflow of air from the cooling ducts to air paths of the battery cartridges. The battery module includes: a battery stack including battery cartridges having air induction holes protruding from grooves at side surfaces of the battery cartridges and air paths communicating with the air induction holes, at least one battery cell alternately stacked with the battery cartridges; a sealing member including an outer sealing frame and sealing ribs located in the grooves of the battery stack, and middle sealing frames located between the air induction holes; and a cooling duct including a groove portion covering the grooves and accommodating the outer sealing frame.

Battery module

The present disclosure discloses a battery pack suitable for improving cooling efficiency of a cooling duct for battery cells in a battery module by reducing a sealing area between a lower case and an upper case configured to fully surround the battery module. The battery pack according to the present disclosure includes a battery module including battery cells sequentially stacked and a cooling duct located on side of the battery cells; a lower case configured to load the battery module and the cooling duct therein; and an upper case coupled to the lower case so as to cover the battery module and the cooling duct, the upper case having a vent structure on the cooling duct. The vent structure has, on the cooling duct, an inner air passage unit opened at a sidewall of the upper case, and an outer air passage unit inserted into the inner air passage unit.

The present disclosure relates to a battery pack having improved assemblability, processability, and durability, and configured to stably maintain a stack of cartridges. According to an aspect of the present disclosure, the battery pack includes: vertically arranged secondary cells each including an electrode assembly, an electrolyte, and a pouch-type case; vertically stacked cartridges accommodating the secondary cells in inner spaces thereof and including coupling holes; a lower end plate including a plate-shaped metallic material and placed on a lower portion of a stack of the secondary cells and the cartridges; a first fastening member fixed to the lower end plate; and a second fastening member having an elongated shape so as to stand on the lower end plate in a direction perpendicular to the lower end plate, a lower end portion of the second fastening member coupled to the first fastening member, the second fastening member being inserted through coupling holes of the cartridges.

Disclosed is an energy storage system (ESS) battery pack case, which includes a case body having at least two plates assembled to each other by fitting so as to be connected to each other along a circumferential direction thereof to form a hollow therein, the case body having an open top end and an open bottom end; and an upper cover assembly configured to cover the top end of the case body and a lower cover assembly configured to cover the bottom end of the case body.

Disclosed are an electrode lead connecting structure capable of simplifying an assembly process of busbars by integrating sensing and electrode busbars, and of minimizing worker's mistakes during the assembly process by almost horizontally arranging busbars on a printed circuit board for each level, a battery module including the electrode lead connecting structure, and a battery pack including the battery module. An electrode lead connecting structure according to the present disclosure includes a printed circuit board, first and second electrode-integrated sensing busbars provided at a lowest level of one side edge of the printed circuit board and at a highest level of an opposite side edge of the printed circuit board, respectively, a first sensing busbar group located on the first L-shaped end strip busbar at the one side edge, and a second sensing busbar group located under the second L-shaped end strip busbar at the opposite side edge.

Disclosed is a battery pack, which includes a battery module having a plurality of battery cells, a case configured to accommodate a plurality of the battery modules, and a protection cover coupled to the case to be capable of opening or closing, the protection cover being configured to protect an installation member installed at the case, wherein the protection cover is pivotally coupled to the case and is separable from the case depending on a pivoting angle of the protection cover.
