Disclosed are an LCD device and a method of manufacturing the same, which reduce a capacitance deviation between pixels without any change in a viewing angle and a high transmittance. The LCD device includes a plurality of gate lines formed in a first direction on a substrate, a plurality of data lines formed in a second direction to intersect the plurality of gate lines, a thin film transistor (TFT) formed in each of a plurality of pixel areas defined by the plurality of gate lines and the plurality of data lines, a pixel electrode formed in a tetragonal shape in each of the plurality of pixel areas, and a common electrode formed on the pixel electrode, and configured to include a plurality of finger patterns. Each of the plurality of pixel areas is formed in a tetragonal shape.

Liquid crystal display device and method of manufacturing the same

An LCD device with a GIP structure is disclosed. The LCD device includes: a liquid crystal display panel with an active area used to display images; a gate driving circuit formed on a side edge of the liquid crystal display panel and configured to apply scan signals to the active area; a start pulse line configured to transfer a start pulse to the gate driving circuit; and a static electricity preventer disposed on the start pulse line adjacent to the gate driving circuit and configured to prevent static electricity from being induced in the start pulse line.

Liquid crystal display device with gate-in-panel structure

An LCD device is disclosed. The LCD device includes: a first substrate configured to include an active area in which a plurality of thin film transistors, a plurality of pixel electrodes, a plurality of gate lines, and a plurality of data lines are formed for displaying an image, and a dummy area loaded with a driving circuit which is connected to the plurality of gate lines; a second substrate, opposite to the first substrate, configured to include a common electrode together with the plurality of pixel electrodes used for forming electric fields, and color filters and a black matrix formed opposite to the active area; column spacers secured to the first substrate within the active and dummy areas and configured to maintain a constant cell gap between the first and second substrates; and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first and second substrates. The second substrate is configured to further include color filter patterns formed on its portions opposite to only the column spacers within the dummy area.

A thin film transistor array substrate includes according to an embodiment a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of data lines on a substrate, to define pixel regions crossing each other; thin film transistors each formed at the intersection of the gate lines and the data lines, and including a gate electrode, a source electrode and a drain electrode; common lines, each including a first pattern formed across the data lines, a second pattern formed adjacent to the data lines on both sides in the pixel region and parallel to the data lines, and a third pattern formed adjacent to the gate lines to connect the second pattern disposed on both the sides in the associated one of the pixel regions, and passing below the drain electrode of the thin film transistors; and pixel electrodes formed in the pixel regions.
