A method and an apparatus for transmitting additional information on digital broadcasting to an IPTV by using a home gateway are provided. The additional information on a digital broadcast program is received through an IP based home network, and a DVBSTP packet is created by using the received additional information, and the packet is transmitted to the home network. Accordingly, a user can immediately obtain various pieces of information on a current broadcast program or a next broadcast program, and thus scheduled recording can be accurately carried out by using information on a broadcast time of the broadcast program.

Method and apparatus for providing additional information on digital broadcasting program to IPTV in home network

A clustering method of a wireless sensor network is provided to minimize energy consumption. The clustering method includes the operations of determining a number of initial nodes within radio range of ordinary node, the ordinary nodes existing within radio range of a cluster head, and setting an ordinary node having a highest number of initial nodes among the ordinary nodes in the radio range of the cluster head, as a gateway. Because the number of usually large energy consuming cluster heads and gateways can be minimized, energy efficiency of wireless sensor network increases.

Clustering method of wireless sensor network for minimized energy consumption

An integer coding method supporting diverse frame sizes and a coder-decoder (CODEC) implementing the method are provided. Maximum sample values are detected from a plurality of frames having different numbers of samples. The detected maximum sample values are normalized on the basis of a maximum sample value of the largest frame. A maximum sample value is detected from the normalized sample values. Multiples are determined according to the size of each frame on the basis of the detected maximum sample value and a sample value of each frame is multiplied by the multiples to generate an integer code.
