Disclosed are a sandwich panel capable of being advantageously applied to a body wearable device, and a method of manufacturing the same. The sandwich panel includes: a core; and face sheets attached to both surfaces of the core, wherein the face sheet is made of a two-dimensional auxetic material. The core has a neutral surface in accordance with bending moment and is made of a porous material. The face sheet is made of metal, polymer, ceramic, or a composite material, and has higher density, strength, and rigidity than the core. The method includes: processing face sheets; and attaching the face sheets to both surfaces of a core, wherein the face sheet is processed to have a two-dimensional auxetic structure.

Sandwich panel having anticlastic curvature characteristic and manufacturing method of same

A fuel cell and a membrane electrode assembly used therein. The membrane electrode assembly is a three-dimensional membrane electrode assembly for fuel cell configured as a three-dimensional thin film structure in which an inner space is divided into two intertwined subvolumes by an interface, and the interface is configured as an MEA thin film and a first subvolume of the two subvolumes is provided as a channel for fuel and a second subvolume is provided as a channel for an oxidizer. The fuel cell includes a casing which accommodates the three-dimensional membrane electrode assembly therein and independently communicates with the first subvolume and the second subvolume and includes inlets and outlets for the fuel and the oxidizer.

Provided is a method for manufacturing a panel including a core having a truss structure between upper and lower face sheets. The manufacturing method includes disposing the upper and lower face sheets in parallel to each other at a predetermined distance, repeatedly performing, several times, a process in which a plurality of flexible wires vertically pass through the upper and lower face sheets to reciprocation-connect the upper and lower face sheets to each other, thereby sewing the upper and lower face sheets after the upper and lower face sheets horizontally move in parallel to each other, and maximally spacing both face sheets in a vertical direction while being maintained in a parallel to each other after a relative displacement of the upper and lower face sheets is solved, and fixing the face sheets and the wires to each other.

Method for manufacturing sandwich panel having core of truss structure

A truss-reinforced spacer grid and a method of manufacturing the same are provided, in which truss members having a small diameter are woven to form a truss structure surrounded by an external plate, and the truss structure is joined to the external plate to thereby improve the strength of the mechanical structure. The truss-reinforced spacer grid includes a truss structure in which horizontal trusses formed by horizontally weaving a plurality of truss members are vertically disposed at regular intervals, and an external plate is joined with ends of the horizontal trusses and surrounds the truss structure.

Truss-reinforced spacer grid and method of manufacturing the same

Disclosed are three-dimensional porous light-weight structures composed of helical wires and the manufacturing method of the same. Continuous helical wire groups in three or six directions having a designated angle (for example, 60 degrees or 90 degrees) with respect to one another in a space cross and are then assembled, and thus new truss-shaped three-dimensional lattice truss structures having high strength and stiffness to weight ratio and a large surface area and method of mass-producing the structures at low costs are provided. The three-dimensional porous light-weight structures are manufactured by a method in which helical wires are three-dimensionally assembled through a continuous process rather than a method in which net-shaped wires are simply woven and stacked, and thus have a configuration similar to the ideal hexahedron truss, Octet truss, or truss in which regular octahedrons and cuboctahedrons are combined, thereby having excellent mechanical properties or thermal or aerodynamic properties.

3-dimensional lattice truss structure composed of helical wires and method for manufacturing the same

Disclosed herein is a three-dimensional cellular light structure formed of continuous wire groups. In the cellular light structure, six orientational helical wire groups are intercrossed each other at 60 degrees or 120 degrees of angles in a three-dimensional space to thereby form a uniform pattern and having a good mechanical property such as strength, rigidity or the like. A method of mass-producing the structure in a cost-effective manner is also disclosed. The three-dimensional cellular light structure has a similar form to the Kagome truss. According to the manufacturing method of the three-dimensional cellular light structure of the present invention, a frame assembly consisting of rectangular frames and connection support bars is used, when the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th-axis helical wires are assembled. In addition, the manufacturing method is characterized by comprising a step of arranging and fixing the 1st, 2nd and 3rd-axis wires on the frames to form a plurality of two-dimensional Kagome planes, a step of connecting the frames by means of connection support bars, and a step of assembling the 4th, 5th and 6th-axis wires to fabricate a three-dimensional cellular light structure. When required, the intersection points of the wires are bonded by means of welding, brazing, soldering, or a liquid-or-spray-form adhesive to provide a structural material having a light weight and a good mechanical strength and rigidity, it can be made into a fiber-reinforced composite material by filling part of or entire internal empty space of the structure.

Three-dimensional cellular light structures weaving by helical wires and the manufacturing method of the same

Disclosed herein is a three-dimensional cellular light structure formed of continuous wire groups. In the cellular light structure, six orientational-wire groups are intercrossed each other at 60 degrees or 120 degrees of angles in a three-dimensional space to thereby construct the structure similar to the ideal Octet or Kagome truss and having a good mechanical property such as strength, rigidity or the like. A method of mass-producing the structure in a cost-effective manner is also disclosed. The three-dimensional cellular light structure has a similar form to the ideal Octet or Kagome truss. When required, the intersection points of the wires are bonded by means of welding, brazing, soldering, or a liquid- or spray-form adhesive to provide a structural material having a light weight and a good mechanical strength and rigidity. It can be made into a fiber-reinforced type composite material by filling part of or entire internal empty space of the structure.
