A display device includes a substrate that includes a bending area, a display active layer disposed on the substrate and that displays an image, a polarization layer disposed on the display active layer, a protective layer that contacts an end of the polarization layer and covers the bending area of the substrate; and an adhesive layer disposed on a boundary between the polarization layer and the protective layer, the adhesive layer extends from the end of the polarization layer toward the bending area by an extension area to overlap a portion of the protective layer.

Display device

A display device includes a display panel and a signal transmission film including a first extension portion, a second extension portion, and a first dummy pattern. The signal transmission film is connected to one side of the display panel. The first extension portion extends in a first direction, and a first contact hole is formed at a first side of the first extension portion. The second extension portion extends from the first side of the first extension portion in a second direction which is different from the first direction. The first dummy pattern is disposed adjacent to the first contact hole at the first side.

A display device includes a display module, a touch member, and a first driving substrate. The display module includes a display panel. The touch member is disposed on the display module. The first driving substrate is attached on substrate attachment portions of the touch member, the substrate attachment portions being provided near a first edge of the touch member near a first side of the display device. the first driving substrate is bent in a downward direction with respect to the display module. The display module includes a bending support structure disposed on a first edge of the display module near the first side, the bending support structure protruding outwardly beyond the substrate attachment portions of the touch member.

A display device includes a display module, a touch member, and a first driving substrate. The display module includes a display panel. The touch member is disposed on the display module. The first driving substrate is attached on substrate attachment portions of the touch member, the substrate attachment portions being provided near a first edge of the touch member near a first side of the display device. The first driving substrate is bent in a downward direction with respect to the display module. The display module includes a bending support structure disposed on a first edge of the display module near the first side, the bending support structure protruding outwardly beyond the substrate attachment portions of the touch member.

A display device includes: a display panel including a bending region; and a flexible printed circuit film connected to the display panel, the display panel including: a substrate; a display active layer on the substrate to display an image; a protection layer on the substrate; and a polarization layer on the display active layer, and the polarization layer includes an inclination part at a side surface thereof, the protection layer covers the bending region, and a side of the protection layer is in contact with the inclination part.

A backlight unit includes: a bottom chassis including a lower portion and side portions enclosing the lower portion; a light source plate to which a light source is attached; a diffuser configured to diffuse light generated from the light source; an optical sheet disposed on the diffuser and adapted to further diffuse the light diffused by the diffuser; and a first mold including a first inclined portion which is disposed between the diffuser and the optical sheet and may prevent the diffuser and the optical sheet from contacting each other, the first inclined portion may reflect light transmitted by the diffuser and emitted from the side of the diffuser toward the bottom chassis.
