A kitchen device (), the kitchen device () including: a base () having a motor (); a vessel assembly () removably mounted on the base (), the vessel assembly () having: a vessel () providing a space () to receive ingredients to be processed; a blade assembly () at least partly located in the space () and drivable by the motor () to process the ingredients, the blade assembly () also projecting outwardly from the vessel () to provide for driving engagement by the motor (); and a collar () to engage the blade assembly () and secure the blade assembly () to the vessel (), the collar () being movable relative to the vessel () between a release position allowing removal of the blade assembly () from the vessel () and a securing position fixing the blade assembly () to the vessel (); the kitchen device () further including a sensor mechanism () to detect, when the vessel assembly () is mounted on the base (), whether the collar () is in the securing position, wherein the motor () is only operable when the sensor mechanism () detects that the collar () is in the securing position.

Kitchen device

The present disclosure relates to the operation of a kitchen appliance (). A processor () receives () a stored sequence of user settings and at least one recorded parameter, and applies () the stored sequence of user settings to the kitchen appliance. A sensor () senses at least one sensed parameter while the stored sequence of user settings is applied to the kitchen appliance (). The processor () determines () a difference between the at least one sensed parameter and corresponding recorded parameter(s) and, if the determined difference exceeds a difference threshold, adjusts () at least one user setting applied.

A blender assembly including a blender vessel and a blender hub. The blender hub having a plurality of first guide elements. The blender vessel having a rim, the blender vessel further having a plurality of second guide elements that each cooperate with a respective one of the first guide elements for forming a coupled and a sealed engagement to the blender hub. By releasing the coupling, the first and second guide elements cooperate to provide a two-stage release. A first stage of the release breaking the sealed engagement, and maintaining a loose coupled engagement, between the blender hub and the bender vessel. A motorized kitchen apparatus including a processor module coupled to a non-volatile storage medium for storing a custom sequence; a user interface having a speed or power selection element and a record selector; a motor controller coupled to a blender motor, the processor module coupled to the motor controller for controlling operation of the motor according to user input selections. Upon user selection of the record selector, the processor module enters a record mode and records a sequence of user inputs made through the user interface; the sequence including data indicative of a power profile selected by the user over a period of time, and upon completion of the record mode, the processor module saves a custom sequence indicative of the recorded sequence to the non-volatile storage medium for subsequent playback.
