Microbicidally active tensides

The invention relates to a pasty washing agent for use in commercial laundering which contains a non-ionic surfactant, an organic and/or inorganic builder, a bleaching agent based on peroxygen, and optionally contains other common constituents. The inventive pasty washing agent is characterized in that it contains 30 wt. % to 60 wt. % of non-ionic surfactant, 0.5 wt. % to 5 wt. % of a fatty acid and/or fatty acid alkaline-salt, 5 wt. % to 15 wt. % of citrate and/or citric acid and 15 wt. % to 35 wt. % of an inorganic peroxygen compound. In addition, the pasty washing agent does not contain alkali metasilicate nor a bleach activator. In addition to exhibiting a good cleaning efficiency, the inventive agent has a disinfecting action.

Pasty washing agent

A process for washing laundry is provided in which a washing alkali component and a surfactant component are combined with water to form a wash liquor, the wash liquor is combined with laundry in a standard washing machine for institutional laundries, and the wastewater from the wash is treated by membrane filtration, where the throughflow rate is reduced by less than 10 percent over an operating time of 120 hours. The washing alkali component is composed of an anionic surfactant and a water-soluble silicate; an alkali metal hydroxide and a complexing agent; or an anionic surfactant and water-soluble silicate and an alkali metal hydroxide, a complexing agent, or a mixture of an alkali metal hydroxide and a complexing agent. The surfactant component is composed of a nonionic surfactant selected from the group consisting of C fatty alcohol alkoxylates containing at least 5 alkoxy groups, C fatty alcohol ethoxylates containing at least 7 ethoxy groups, C fatty alcohol ethoxylate/propoxylates containing at least 4 ethoxy groups and at least 2 propoxy groups in the molecule, and mixtures thereof.

The detergent is composed of: 5 to 30 percent by weight of an ethoxylated alcohol of the formula R,&mdash;(OC,H,),&mdash;OH where R,is an alkyl or alkenyl group containing 9 to 15 carbon atoms and the average degree of ethoxylation m is 1 to 8; 1 to 20 percent by weight of an ethoxylated alcohol of the formula R,&mdash;(OC,H,),OH where R,is an alkyl or alkenyl group containing 12 to 22 carbon atoms and the average degree of ethoxylation n is 3 to 14, and n is greater than m by at least 1.0; 1 to 20 percent by weight of an alcohol or alkyl ether corresponding to the formula R,&mdash;O&mdash;R,where R,is an alkyl or alkenyl group containing 6 to 22 carbon atoms and R,is hydrogen or an alkyl group containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms; 20 to 80 percent by weight of an alkalizing agent, and 0 to 15 percent by weight of an organic builder. The paste-form detergent is useful in institutional laundries and results in a reduced tendency to foam at the rinsing and pressing stage.
