A downlink scheduling assignment including downlink control information is received () in a control channel scheduling a physical downlink shared channel, wherein the downlink scheduling assignment comprises an indication of a transmission configuration indicator identifying two transmission configuration indicator states, which each indicate quasi-co-location information of a demodulation reference signal corresponding to the physical downlink shared channel relative to a respective one of the first and the second timing reference signals. The physical downlink shared channel is then received () according to the downlink scheduling assignment including the downlink control information.

Method and apparatus for providing channel estimation for single frequency network transmissions in high speed transit scenarios

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for channel state information reporting. One method includes receiving channel state information report configuration information. The channel state information report configuration information includes: information indicating one or more channel state information-reference signal resource configurations associated with at least one non-zero power channel state information reference signal resource set for channel measurement; and information indicating that the channel state information report configuration corresponding to multiple points is used. The multiple points are associated with a primary group of points or a secondary group of points. The method includes performing channel measurements using the at least one non-zero power channel state information reference signal resource set. The method includes generating a set of channel state information reports based on the channel state information report configuration information.

A medium access control-control element (MAC-CE) is received indicating at least two configured TCI states of the set of TCI states. The at least two configured TCI states are selected based on a timing offset between a reception of the PDCCH and a reception of the PDSCH satisfying a threshold.

One apparatus includes a processor and a transceiver configured to communicate with a base unit over a radio access network using at least one transmission layer and determining a total number of non-zero coefficients over a set of layers. The processor encodes the total number of non-zero coefficients by selecting a codeword from a plurality of candidate codewords in which the selected single codeword identifies the total number of non-zero coefficients to the base unit. The processor prepares CSI, where the CSI comprises the selected single codeword encoding the total number of non-zero coefficients and the transceiver transmits the CSI to the base unit.

One apparatus includes a processor and a transceiver configured to communicate with a base unit over a radio access network using at least one transmission layer and determining a total number of non-zero coefficients over a set of layers. The processor computes a number of non-zero amplitude parameters and determines an indication of the number of non-zero amplitude parameters. The processor determines the location of zero amplitude parameters to generate a set of location bits. The processor prepares CSI that includes the indication of the number of non-zero amplitude parameters and the set of location bits. The transceiver transmits the CSI to the base unit.

One apparatus includes a processor and a transceiver configured to communicatewith a transmit-receive point ('TRP') over a radio access network using spatial multiplexing, wherein multiple transmission layers are transmitted at a time, each transmission layer comprising multiple beams. The processor identifies a main beam for each of the multiple transmission layers and determines whether the main beams of each transmission layer are the same. Systems and techniques for managing helper cells in coordinated multipoint processing. Bandwidth assistance is requested from one or more cells operating in a network. In response to demand price and headroom information provided by a plurality of cells receiving the request, a set of potential helper cells is rank ordered and identified one or more helpers is identified from the ordered set and a candidate helper set is assembled based on bandwidth performance assistance criteria. A new request for bandwidth assistance is made. In response to new demand price and headroom information obtained from the candidate helper set, a determination is made whether sufficient iterations have been performed. If sufficient iterations have not been performed, the process is repeated, and if sufficient iterations have been performed, a requesting cell proceeds to operate while receiving bandwidth assistance from the assembled set.
