A push-pull welding torch is disclosed. The welding torch includes a torch body and a unitary block disposed in the torch body. The unitary block includes an inlet channel, an outlet channel, and a gas channel fluidly connected to the inlet channel and the outlet channel. The inlet and outlet channels may receive a weld filler material. A quick release tensioner assembly is disclosed for a welding torch that may include a swing arm configured to mount to a drive block assembly via a pivot, a lever disposed between the swing arm and block assembly when the quick release tensioner assembly is mounted to the drive block assembly, a fastener disposed through the swing arm and lever, and a resilient member disposed between the fastener and swing arm. The fastener may be configured to engage the drive block when the quick release assembly is mounted to the drive block.

A consumable assembly for use in an arc welding apparatus is provided that includes a nozzle assembly having a nozzle body, an insulator disposed within the nozzle body, and a nozzle insert disposed within the insulator. The nozzle insert includes an internal gas diverter. A contact tip is disposed within the nozzle assembly and includes at least one aperture extending from an exterior portion to an internal cavity, an exit orifice, a distal end face, and an exterior surface extending between the at least one aperture and the distal end portion of the contact tip. The internal gas diverter directs a flow of shield gas exiting the at least one aperture along the exterior surface of the contact tip, and a principal distance from the at least one aperture to the distal end face is varied to adjust the flow of the shield gas for improved cooling.

High performance contact tip and nozzle assembly for an arc welding apparatus

An arc welding apparatus includes a conductor tube assembly that has a collar assembly with a collar body that is biased by a spring. A consumable assembly is mechanically secured to the conductor tube and displaces the collar body and the collar body imparts a biasing force against the consumable assembly pretensioning the consumable assembly on the conductor tube assembly.

Collar assembly for securing consumables of an arc welding apparatus

A nozzle assembly for a welding torch and a welding torch including said nozzle assembly is provided. The nozzle assembly generally comprises a base defining a distal threaded portion for securing the nozzle assembly to a distal end portion of a conductor tube of the welding torch, the base defining a distal threaded portion and a nose defining a mating threaded portion adapted to engage the distal threaded portion of the base, thereby removably securing the nose to the base. The distal threaded portion may comprise tapered Edison threads or a shell thread design.

Two-piece nozzle assembly for an arc welding apparatus

A consumable assembly for use in an arc welding apparatus is provided that includes a nozzle assembly having a nozzle body, an insulator disposed within the nozzle body, and a nozzle insert disposed within the insulator. The nozzle insert includes an internal gas diverter. A contact tip is disposed within the nozzle assembly and includes at least one aperture extending from an exterior portion to an internal cavity, an exit orifice, a distal end face, and an exterior surface extending between the at least one aperture and the distal end portion of the contact tip. The internal gas diverter directs a flow of shield gas exiting the at least one aperture along the exterior surface of the contact tip.

Nozzle insert for an arc welding apparatus

A nozzle assembly for a welding torch, a welding torch that includes said nozzle assembly, and a method of using the welding torch is provided. The nozzle assembly generally comprises an insulator having a plurality of grooves around an outer periphery, a plurality of sealing members disposed within the grooves of the insulator; and a nozzle body slip-fit around the insulator, such that at least one of the insulator and the nozzle body define position indicia.

A nozzle assembly for a welding torch and a welding torch including said nozzle assembly is provided. The nozzle assembly generally comprises a nozzle body having an internal bore with a plurality of detents disposed within a portion of the internal bore and an insert assembly having a proximal exterior surface with a plurality of sealing members. The insert assembly is adapted to be secured within the internal bore of the nozzle body by the plurality of sealing members progressively engaging the plurality of detents.

Slip-fit nozzle assembly for an arc welding apparatus

An arc welding apparatus is disclosed in one form including a conductor tube defining an internal passageway and a distal end portion. The internal passageway has an internal profile proximate the distal end portion. The apparatus further includes an alignment device comprising an exterior profile and an internal passage. The exterior profile is configured for mechanical attachment to the internal profile of the conductor tube. The apparatus also includes a conduit liner disposed in the internal passageway of the conductor tube and the internal passage of the alignment device.

Centering device for conductor tube for GMAW manual/robotic arc welding MIG guns

A conductor tube for use in an arc welding apparatus is disclosed that diffuses gas from an aperture in the conductor tube. The conductor tube has an internal passageway and a distal end portion. In one form of the present disclosure, proximate to the distal end portion there is at least one aperture disposed wherein the gas flowing through the internal passageway is at least partially dispersed through the at least one aperture.
