The invention relates to a procatalyst for polymerization of olefins. The invention also relates to a process for preparing said procatalyst. Furthermore, the invention is directed to a catalyst system for polymerization of olefins comprising the said procatalyst, a co-catalyst and optionally an external electron donor; a process of preparing polyolefins by contacting an olefin with said catalyst system and to polyolefins obtained or obtainable by said process. The invention also relates to the use of said procatalyst in the polymerization of olefins.

Procatalyst for polymerization of olefins

Disclosed is a method of producing hydrogen (H) gas and calcium carbonate from formaldehyde. The method includes combining an aqueous base, formaldehyde, and a transition metal complex having a coordination bond between a transition metal and a leaving group to form a homogeneous aqueous solution having a basic pH, wherein the leaving group dissociates from the transition metal complex in response to light and/or the basic pH of the solution, producing hydrogen (H) gas and formate or a salt thereof from the formaldehyde present in the homogeneous aqueous solution, and producing calcium carbonate using the formate or salt thereof as a carbon source.

The present invention relates to a procatalyst comprising the compound represented by formula A as an internal electron donor, wherein: R, R, R, R, R, and Rare the same or different and are independently selected from a group consisting of hydrogen or a straight, branched and cyclic hydrocarbyl group, selected from alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, aralkyl or alkylaryl groups, and one or more combinations thereof, preferably having 1 to 20 carbon atoms; Ris a hydrogen or a linear, branched or cyclic hydrocarbyl group, selected from alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkoxycarbonyl or alkylaryl groups, and one or more combinations thereof, preferably having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms; and each Rgroup is independently a linear, branched or cyclic hydrocarbyl group selected from alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, aralkyl, or alkylaryl groups, and one or more combinations thereof, preferably having from 1 to 30 carbon atoms; N is nitrogen atom; O is oxygen atom; and C is carbon atom. The present invention also relates to a process for preparing said polymerization procatalyst and to a polymerization catalyst system comprising said procatalyst, a cocatalyst and optionally an external electron donor. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a polyolefin obtainable by the process according to the present invention and to the use of the compound of formula A as in internal electron donor in catalysts for polymerization of olefins. 

Disclosed is a method of producing hydrogen from formaldehyde, the method comprising obtaining an aqueous mixture having a basic pH and comprising formaldehyde, an iron containing photocatalyst, and a base, and subjecting the aqueous mixture to light to produce hydrogen (H) gas from the formaldehyde.

The present invention relates to a process for homopolymerization of ethylene or copolymerization of ethylene with alpha-olefins by contacting ethylene or ethylene and alpha-olefin with a catalyst composition comprising: (a) a solid catalyst precursor comprising at least one vanadium compound, at least one magnesium compound and a polymeric material or a solid catalyst precursor comprising at least one vanadium compound, at least one further transition metal compound and/or at least one alcohol, at least one magnesium compound and a polymeric material; and (b) a cocatalyst comprising an aluminum compound.

Process for the polymerization of olefins

The present invention relates to a catalyst composition for polymerization of olefins comprising: (a) a solid catalyst pre cursor comprising at least one vanadium compound, at least one magnesium compound and a polymeric material or a solid catalyst precursor comprising at least one vanadium compound, at least one further transition metal compound and/or at least one alcohol, at least one magnesium compound and a polymeric material; and (b) a cocatalyst comprising at least one aluminum compound; and to a method for preparing a catalyst composition according to the present invention, comprising the steps of: (a) combining the components of the solid catalyst precursor; and (b) activating the catalyst precursor with aluminum compound.
