A laminated adhesive tape includes a substrate comprising two or more plies of thin, flexible material, the substrate having a first major surface and a second major surface opposite the first major surface. A polymeric laminating composition comprising a polymer and an alkyl ketene dimer binds the two or more plies and a pressure sensitive adhesive carried on the first major surface. In a further aspect, a method of making a laminated adhesive tape is provided.

A casting tape package system is provided comprising an outer package defining a first interior portion enclosing a casting tape substrate including curable casting formulation and a second interior portion enclosing a curing agent. In certain embodiments, the curing agent is separated from the casting tape substrate by a barrier which is breakable to release the curing agent to activate the curable casting formulation.

An athletic tape product for securing or supporting a human or animal body part is provided that includes an elongate, pliable, woven substrate that is stretched in the long direction and impregnated with a water-dispersible polymer, the stretched, impregnated woven substrate further including a coating selected from the group consisting of a cohesive material or an adhesive material. In certain embodiments, the pliable woven substrate is cotton.

Inelastic, conformable sports tape

Compositions of matter are provided that include chitosan and a modified carbohydrate. The modified carbohydrate includes a carbohydrate component and a cross linking agent. The modified carbohydrate has increased carboxyl content as compared to an unmodified counterpart carbohydrate. A carboxyl group of the modified carbohydrate is covalently bonded with an amino group of chitosan. The compositions of matter provided herein may include cross linked starch citrate-chitosan and cross linked hemicellulose citrate-chitosan, including foams thereof. These compositions yield excellent absorbency and metal chelation properties. Methods of making cross linked modified carbohydrate-chitosan compounds are also provided.

In one aspect, a wound treatment system includes an inner layer comprising a foam material impregnated with a zinc oxide containing composition with or without calamine and/or ichthammol and in the presence or absence of antimicrobial agent (inorganic and/or organic). An optional outer layer comprises a short/long stretch compression bandage. In another aspect, a method of manufacturing the foam article impregnated with the zinc oxide containing composition is disclosed. In yet another aspect, a method of applying the wound treatment system to a patient's leg is disclosed. In still another aspect, a kit is provided including a foam layer impregnated with a zinc oxide containing composition; optionally, an elastic bandage component (e.g., long or short stretch elastic bandage); and, optionally, an outer stocking or sleeve, wherein the bandage system components are packaged together.
