A desktop display control method and apparatus, a terminal, and a storage medium. The method comprises: determining whether a view () of a first task is currently displayed on a desktop () (S); if it is determined that the view () of the first task is currently displayed on the desktop (), displaying a view of a third control in a view () of a second control (S); and if it is determined that the view () of the first task is not currently displayed on the desktop, not displaying the view of the third control in the view of the second control (S). The first task comprises a first application and/or a first control, wherein the first application is not an application of the desktop, and the second control and the third control are both controls displayed on the desktop. The method dynamically displays the view of the third control in the view of the second control according to the specific display state of the task view on the desktop, and thus a user can interact with the view of the third control conveniently, the interaction steps are simplified, and the user experience is improved.
