Disclosed herein are engineered light-sensitive proteins, for example channelrhodopsins and variants thereof. Also disclosed are compositions for expressing the light-sensitive proteins in cells, tissues, organs and subjects, and methods for using the light-sensitive proteins to, for example, enable minimally-invasive neuronal circuit interrogation in living organism, and treat neuronal and ocular disorders.

Engineered light-sensitive proteins

A rear hatch camper is designed to secure to a rear hatch of a vehicle. The rear hatch camper has an inside rail with an inside rail abutment face. The inside rail has a latch hook configured to connect to a cargo loop anchor on a vehicle. A rail adapter is elongated and flat with a rail adapter abutment face that abuts the inside rail abutment face and is secured to the inside rail. A table has a table front edge that engages the rail adapter at an adapter support. The table has a table folding leg mounted on a table folding hinge. The table folding hinge is mounted to an underside of the table.

Rear hatch camper

A car tent camper has a flexible rod with a flexible rod upper tip and a flexible rod lower tip. The flexible rod upper tip is configured to engage a door window frame. The flexible rod lower tip is configured to engage a latch loop. An extension is formed as a planar plank. The extension is connected to a horizontal frame member at an extension base. The extension base has a horizontal frame member inside foot and an upright foot. The horizontal frame member inside foot is mounted opposite to the upright foot. A first anchor hook strap is connected to a first extension support, and the first extension support is mounted to the extension. A second anchor hook strap is connected to a second extension support, and the second extension support is mounted to the extension.

Side door car camper

A car door camper includes a connecting platform formed as a triangular platform having a connecting platform adapter edge, a platform inside edge, and a platform door edge. The platform door edge is configured to engage a door panel of a vehicle door. The platform inside edge is configured to engage a vehicle door frame at a door frame outside lower edge. A folding table has a table connecting edge engaging the connecting platform adapter edge. A latch loop strap having a latch loop hook is configured to engage a door latch loop on a vehicle door frame. The latch loop strap is mounted to a door latch loop corner formed at a junction between the platform door edge and the connector platform adapter edge.

An LED lamp has a PCB at least partially made of metal and a base configured to receive the PCB in a slot formed on the base. The base has a base top surface and the slot has a tapered cross-section. A first sidewall is formed in the slot. The first sidewall is formed at a first sidewall angle that is less than 90&#xb0;. A second sidewall is formed in the slot. The second sidewall is formed at a second sidewall angle. A top protrusion is formed on a base top surface. The top protrusion has a top protrusion first position and a top protrusion second position. A pair of edges are formed on the PCB, namely a first edge formed on the PCB and a second edge formed on the PCB. The first edge is tapered to engage the first sidewall.

LED lamp with tapered PCB

An LED light includes an LED chip having a first terminal and a second terminal, and a layer assembly having first and second metal conduction layers an insulation layer sandwiched between them. An edge of the layer assembly includes a first mounting surface formed on the first conduction layer, and a second mounting surface formed on the second conduction layer. The insulation layer is located between the first mounting surface and the second mounting surface, with the first and second terminals connected to the first and second mounting surfaces, respectively.

LED light having edge mounted LED's

A ballast lead wire configuration includes a ballast having a pair of power inputs and a pair of power outputs. A primary lamp is electrically connected to the ballast. A first primary lamp ballast terminal is formed on the primary lamp and electrically connected to the ballast. A second primary lamp ballast terminal is formed on the primary lamp and electrically connected to the ballast. A second lamp electrically connected to the ballast, and the second lamp is electrically connected to the first lamp in series. A first secondary lamp ballast terminal is formed on the secondary lamp and electrically connected to the ballast. A second secondary lamp ballast terminal is formed on the secondary lamp and electrically connected to the ballast. The first lamp and the second lamp are florescent lamps over 36 inches long.

Ballast lead wire configuration

An LED ballast mount preferably includes a housing assembly having sidewalls including a housing LED side wall and a housing opposite side wall. A rechargeable battery is installed in a battery assembly and the battery assembly includes a battery housing mounted to the housing LED side wall. A first LED lamp is mounted on a lower face of the battery housing. A first fluorescent lamp socket mounted on a ballast socket face of the battery housing. A second fluorescent lamp socket mounted on the ballast socket face of the battery housing. A bridge housing including an electronic ballast mounted within the bridge housing. Fluorescent tubes may be mounted in the device.

LED ballast mount

A multifunction switch has a switch body; a main switch toggle rotationally mounted to the switch body for controlling completion of an electric circuit. The main switch toggle has an on position and an off position. A toggle switch button is mounted to the main switch toggle. The toggle switch button is generally planar. A secondary switch button is mounted to the toggle switch button. A secondary switch is mounted to the switch body. The secondary switch is mounted adjacent to the main switch toggle. A generally planar faceplate has a switch button opening. The switch button opening is sized to receive the toggle switch button. An offset gap is formed when the toggle switch button is moved to the main switch off position.

Multifunction wall switch

A weather resistant road light comprises a top cover and a ballast mounting surface disposed on a top surface of the top cover. The ballast mounting surface defines a ballast compartment lower surface. At least one wire aperture seat is disposed on the ballast mounting surface. A ballast is mounted to the at least one wire aperture seat. Wires from the ballast pass through the wire aperture seat. A ballast compartment cover covers the ballast compartment. The ballast compartment cover fits over the top of the ballast mounting surface disposed on the top cover. At least one securing member secures the ballast to the ballast mounting surface. A bottom tray mates with the top cover, and the bottom tray has a lens opening. A reflector assembly has a socket for receiving a bulb. The reflector assembly is mounted on the bottom tray.

Weather resistant road light

A lamp ballast is provided for attachment to a fluorescent lamp fixture. The ballast is adapted to a direct low profile mounting on a junction box of the lamp fixture by a varying degree of recessed positioning. The ballast has a built-in niche for the recessed mounting and comprises a ballast circuit on a board; a package for enclosing the circuit board save electric wires from and to the ballast circuit at multiple sides including a top surface, bottom surface and sidewalls extending between the top and bottom surfaces; and a flange extending from the sidewalls of the package at a predetermined level between the top and bottom surfaces. Thus, the flange acts as a mounting bracket of the ballast for a varied degree of recessed mounting of the ballast on the lamp fixture.

Recessed light ballast mount

A ballast with multilateral lead wires is provided for supplying a power for fluorescent lamps. The ballast comprises a lid and a longitudinal container for containing a ballast circuit for processing an input power and generating a lamp power supply to one or more of the lamps. The circuit includes an input connector mounted on an edge of the circuit for receiving input power wires and an output connector mounted on the opposite edge of the circuit from the input connector for connecting one or more sets of output lead wires. The lid is tightly fastened over the container and has two opposite edgewise basins with access openings for the wires to the input and output connectors.

Ballast with multilead wires

The main housing is formed as an elongated plastic hollow molded top cover having a ballast recess and a pair of line openings. The ballast is placed in the ballast recess. The seal ring provides a watertight seal against line opening when locking ring is secured to the ballast. The main housing is mounted to a building surface. A reflector fits between the main housing and a pair of bulbs. The bulbs are retained in end terminals. A main seal bits between main housing and main cover. The clip junction on the main cover receives a housing clip. The housing clip biases the main cover against the main housing with the main seal in between forming a watertight seal.

Weather resistant florescent fixture

Technology presented in the following utility patent yields a significant innovation within the field of electrical lighting. An alternative configuration of the filter inductor, which serves as part of a passive power factor correction circuit, increases the overall efficiency of fluorescent ballast. The core of the inductor is essentially comprised of a vertically positioned, laminated silicon steel stack within the electronic ballast housing. The vertical orientation allows for a significant reduction in the height and width of the ballast housing, thus creating more effective use of space. Furthermore, each individual laminated silicon steel plate's outside corner angles assume a crescent moon shape. This unique structure serves to provide additional space for the ballast's input lead wires by forming total three (3) of long narrow channels. In order to balance any offset in magnetic flux density caused by the crescent moon shape, the two alternate interior angles of the sheet are arc-shaped.

Slim filter inductor for electronic ballast

A transformer comprises a core formed by laminations, each having a rectangular plate with two spaced windows for receiving a set of coils passing through the windows in turn; a dielectric bobbin threading the windows, the coils being wound over the bobbin passing through the windows in turn to form primary and secondary windings, each of the coil ends having connection pins arranged in at least two arrays, a pair of pin supports formed integral to the bobbin to span the width of the transformer and carry the arrays of connection pins, the supports extending through the core laminations down to the bottom thereof and terminating by flat bottoms resting upon the circuit board, and outwardly bent sections of the connection pins in one of the arrays to hook the circuit board at its thru holes making instantly a secure provisional joint with the trace of the circuit board.
