The invention relates to a device for attaching a balancing weight () to a mounting surface () on an inner side () of a rim dish of a wheel rim () and provides for a mounting head () to be dimensioned in such a way that it fits into the rim dish. The mounting head () includes a support element (), which is radially displaceable relative to the wheel rim () and on which a feeler element () is axially movably arranged, the feeler element () having a convex contact surface () and a receptacle () for at least one balancing weight (), said receptacle being oriented towards the inner side (). The mounting head () is configured in such a way that the contact surface () may be brought into contact with a boundary surface () of the inner side (), and may be displaced along said boundary surface until the balancing weight () comes radially into contact with the mounting surface ().
