Flexible fluid connection systems are provided with misalignment management, vibration attenuation and compact packaging for a variety of applications. A fluid connection system includes a component that operates using a fluid. The component defines a surface and a passageway containing the fluid and opening through the surface. A fluid line is configured to convey the fluid relative to the component. A connector is made of a flexible material and is connected with the component and with the fluid line. The connector is positioned against the surface and has an end spaced away from the surface through which the fluid line is received.

Isolated flexible fluid connection system

A cover member includes a body member made of a composite material and including a mounting flange. A plurality of compression limiters are disposed in the mounting flange, the compression limiters have a predetermined thickness and an internally threaded aperture therein. The dual function compression limiters eliminate the need for separate threaded inserts. With the dual function compression limiter, every bolt location provides a potential location for a jack screw.

Dual purpose threaded insert/compression limiter

An idler assembly includes a cam, an idler pulley, a baseplate, an idler pulley bracket, and a belt. The cam is pivotally mounted to an idler pulley bracket, the cam may pivot between a first position and a second position via a first pivot. The idler pulley is mounted to a baseplate. The baseplate is pivotally mounted to an idler pulley bracket. The baseplate may therefore pivot between a first position and a second position relative to the idler pulley bracket. The belt may be easily mounted on the idler pulley when the baseplate and cam are in the second position. The belt is in tension when the baseplate and cam are moved from the second position to the first position.

Idler assembly

A ball valve assembly includes a housing having a valve chamber with an inlet opening and an outlet opening. A dynamic seal assembly including a spring member and a seal member are disposed in a seal chamber in one of the inlet opening and the outlet opening, wherein the spring member biases an end portion of the seal member into the valve chamber. A valve member includes a partially spherical outer surface with a recessed cam feature extending from the outer surface and a valve opening disposed in the outer surface, wherein during assembly of the valve member in the valve chamber the recessed cam feature is aligned with the end portion of the seal member and the valve member is rotated to engage the outer surface of the valve member with the end portion of the seal member.

A fuel pump coolant assembly includes a fuel pump cap having a flanged bottom surface and a fuel pump support structure. A fuel cooling ring disposed between the fuel pump cap and the fuel pump support structure, wherein a sealed coolant cavity is formed by a portion of an external surface of the fuel pump support structure and an internal surface of the fuel cooling ring.

Fuel pump coolant cap assembly

A universal oil pan die tooling is provided for forming alternative oil pans for alternative internal combustion engines with and without an oil cooler circuit. The die tooling includes a first die member defining a cavity and a second die member having a protruding portion designed to be inserted in the cavity of the first die member to define a mold cavity therebetween that defines a shape of the oil pan. A first die insert is used along with the first die member and the second die member to form oil pans for use with an engine having an oil cooler. An alternative second die insert is used in place of the first die insert along with the first die member and the second die member to form oil pans for use with an engine without an oil cooler.
