A silencer for a firearm which incorporates a cylindrical housing, front end cap, mean of attachment to the muzzle of a firearm, spacers and an improved cone baffle design. The proposed device incorporates a novel cone baffle design which uses concave flutes to increase surface area and thereby sound reduction. The geometry of this new cone baffle minimizes the weight of a silencer, maximizes internal volume, and effectively reduces sound and flash which are the result of a discharging firearm.

Blackout silencer

A method for reducing the weight of a silencer without compromising durability. By reducing the silencer housing wall thickness weight is removed from the silencer module. Areas on the housing where material is removed are primarily selected based on the internal pressure generated in a given chamber of the silencer. Further, removal of external material is selected based on the baffle arrangement. Individual chamber pressure is influenced by the muzzle pressure of the host firearm and the baffle style and baffle orientation within the silencer being used.

Process to produce a silencer tube with minimal wall thickness

A booster system including a piston housing, a piston, a spring, and a rear cap attached to the piston housing. The piston housing includes an annular outer wall and an annular projection extending inward from the outer wall at a rear end of the piston housing. The piston is disposed within the piston housing and includes a bore and a radially outwardly extending flange at its front end. The spring is radially disposed between the piston housing and the piston in a space enclosed by the outwardly extending flange and the annular projection. The rear cap includes an end wall extending radially outward from a rear end of the piston housing. A side wall extends forward from the end wall and hangs over the outer wall of the piston housing at a radial distance from the outer wall of the piston housing. The sidewall of the rear cap includes an engagement surface for attachment to a body of a silencer.

Firearm suppressor booster system

A recoil booster for use with a sound suppressor for a firearm includes a hollow piston configured to be coupled to the firearm, a cap assembly, and a housing configured to be coupled to the sound suppressor. The cap assembly is removably coupled to the housing and includes an inner periphery configured to slidably guide a head portion of the piston. The housing includes an internal shoulder configured to abut the head portion of the piston in a nominal position of the booster. When the cap assembly is uncoupled from the housing, the piston is removable from the booster by sliding the head portion of the piston forward out of the cap assembly.

Recoil booster for firearm sound suppressors

A baffle configured for use in a firearm sound suppressor is disposed along a longitudinal axis that defines a path of travel for a projectile moving from a rearward side to a forward side. The baffle includes a rear bell portion having a first annular exterior surface and a forward bell portion having a second annular exterior surface. Along the longitudinal axis in a forward direction, the rear bell portion decreases in cross-section and the forward bell portion increases in cross-section. The baffle further includes a waist portion connecting the rear bell portion and the forward bell portion. A central bore extends along the longitudinal axis through the rear bell portion and defines an annular interior surface which is sized to receive a projectile traveling along the longitudinal axis. The baffle may be one of a plurality of baffles in a baffle stack.

Firearm sound suppressor baffle

A gas regulator which incorporates a flash hider for use with gas operated firearms. By incorporating a flash hider around the gas vent for the host firearms operating system, unburnt particles which produce flash from this exit point may be effectively disrupted. By disrupting and redirecting these unburnt powder particles flash is thereby eliminated from the firearms operating system. In the preferred embodiment, an open-pronged flash hider is used, but the device is not limited to this specific design. Military end users are particularly interested in an article of manufacture which eliminates flash from the gas system since it will disrupt the use of night vision and give away a soldier's position during low light or no light operations.

An improved flash suppressor and silencer mount. The use of tapered tines allows for the easy removal of a noise suppressor from the flash suppressor even after extended use. Due to the construction of the flash suppressor and through proper material selection the tines will not warp or break even after being exposed to temperatures in excess of 1100 degrees. Through the use of angled concave transition portions this device is a superb stand alone flash suppressor.

Flash suppressor

A noise reducing booster insert of a sound suppressor coupled to a barrel of a firearm includes an elongate body, a plurality of gas vents, and a plurality of indexing spokes. The gas vents permit expanding gases from the firearm to fill a space about the body to thereby increase noise reduction without the need of modifying a baffle stack of the sound suppressor. The gas vents are angled such that the expanding gases force the booster insert to rotate into tighter threaded engagement with the barrel of the firearm.

An apparatus and method for easily, and reliably attaching a noise suppressor or other auxiliary device to a standard A2 flash compensator typically located at the muzzle end of a firearm barrel and for easily, and reliably removing the noise suppressor or other auxiliary device there from through the novel ideal of providing an apparatus which consistently indexes a noise suppressor on the wrench flats of a standard A2 flash hider.

A mount designed to be integrated into a noise suppressor. The proposed apparatus encompasses an acme thread and two springs which serve as secondary latches. Offsetting the secondary spring latches in such a manner as to ensure one always fully seats into the indexing points of a flash hider mount limits the rotational movement of an installed noise suppressor which incorporates my proposed mount. Further, this method is more cost efficient than timing each flash hider with each noise suppressor mount.

An apparatus and method for easily, quickly and reliably attaching a noise suppressor or other auxiliary device to the muzzle end of a firearm barrel and for easily, quickly and reliably removing the noise suppressor or other auxiliary device there from. My invention also provides for adjusting the host firearms point of impact by changing the orientation of the noise suppressor in relation to the host firearms bore.

Multifunctional firearm muzzle attachment system primarily for attaching a noise suppressor to a firearm

An apparatus and method for easily, quickly and reliably attaching a noise suppressor or other auxiliary device to the muzzle end of a firearm barrel and for easily, quickly and reliably removing the noise suppressor or other auxiliary device there from through the novel ideal of providing two or more non equal relieved areas of thread. My invention also provides an internal o-ring to provide friction between the muzzle adaptor and the thread mount of a noise suppressor or other auxiliary device.

Provided is a method of assembly for a noise suppressor using specific welding and assembly procedures. By welding the inner portion of a noise suppressor to form a semi complete core an outer tube can then be placed over said core to reinforce the noise suppressor as a whole. The described process allows for an overall reduction of tube wall thickness and provides for a reduction of weight. By affixing each baffle, spacer, end cap and mount together as a whole the strength of the entire unit is multiplied. My method is not restricted to any particular baffle technology but may in fact be incorporated into any design where circumferential fusion welds may be used.

Method of assembly for sound suppressors

An apparatus which provides for, noise suppressor tube with an internal tapered profile and baffle core which has an external tapered profile machined and designed to minimize friction between the two opposing surfaces which will better facilitate the disassembly of the noise suppressor unit after use.
