Managing answers in a question-answering environment is disclosed. Managing answers in the question-answering environment can include sorting, based on a set of answer categories for a subject matter, a first set of answers into a first answer category and a second set of answers into a second answer category. Managing answers in the question-answering environment can include determining, using the subject matter, a first category sequence including the first answer category and the second answer category, and establishing, based on the first category sequence, a first answer sequence established from a portion of the first set of answers from the first answer category and a portion of the second set of answers from the second answer category.

Answer management in a question-answering environment

Managing confidence data in a question-answering environment is disclosed. Managing confidence data can include sorting, based on a set of answer categories for a subject matter, a first set of a plurality of answers into a first answer category. The first set can correspond to at least one of a third set of a plurality of confidence scores and the second set can correspond to at least one of a fourth set of the plurality of confidence scores. Managing confidence data can include classifying confidence scores of the third set into one of a plurality of confidence buckets using a first threshold and determining a fifth set of a plurality of thresholds using the plurality of confidence scores. Managing confidence data can include classifying unclassified confidence scores of the third set into one of the plurality of confidence buckets using the fifth set of the plurality of thresholds.

Aspects of the present disclosure are directed toward evaluating an answer sequence. Aspects are directed toward receiving a set of answer sequences including a first answer sequence. The first answer sequence may have a first set of answers. Aspects are also directed toward identifying a set of scores coupled with the first set of answers. Aspects are also directed toward determining, based on a subject matter corresponding to the first answer sequence, a set of evaluation rules. Aspects are also directed toward generating, based on the set of scores and the set of evaluation rules, a sequence evaluation score for the first answer sequence.

A system for allocating incoming events among operational groups to create a multi-treaded computation process includes: incoming events; an event processing system configured to receive the incoming events; an event key generator within the event processing system, the event key generator being configured to generate event keys at run time, the event keys being associated with the incoming events; and a thread dispatcher, the thread dispatcher allocating the incoming events among the operational groups according to the associated incoming event keys.

The computer useable medium has a computer readable program such that when the computer readable medium is executed on a computer, the computer is caused to configure a calling interceptor at a service invocation point corresponding to a first component service of a software application to monitor a service invocation made by the first component service of a second component service of the software application, record a first set of correlation data represented by a first correlation indicator into a trace file, record a unique identifier into the trace file, and send the unique identifier to the second component service thought the service invocation.

Method and system for correlating trace data

A method, system and computer program product for achieving a balance between pre-filter efficiency and pre-filter throughput. Event subscriptions are obtained for a given event consumer. The event subscriptions define the events to be routed to this event consumer. Pre-filters of varying complexity and filtering power are constructed based on these event subscriptions. A balance between pre-filter efficiency and pre-filter throughput may be achieved by selecting the best pre-filter out of these constructed pre-filters to filter events to its associated event consumer. The best pre-filter is selected by comparing a complexity threshold (e.g., a limit for the number of atomic Boolean expressions in a pre-filter) with the actual complexity (e.g., the actual number of atomic Boolean expressions) for each constructed pre-filter and selecting the most complex pre-filter without exceeding the threshold.

Generation of a set of pre-filters from a set of event subscriptions to more efficiently select events of interest

A mechanism is provided for converting after image data into a delta level change. An after image business graph is first transformed into a generic after image business graph. Another transformation is performed transforming the generic after image business graph into a second after image business graph, using delta information from another enterprise information system is used to create a delta business graph. Finally, the computer is caused to provide the trace file to a service level debugger that navigates through the trace file.

CIM elements are retrieved from the management definition object and a determination is made as to whether the element is a non-instance element or an instance element. If the element is a non-instance element and a qualifier is found in the management object, then the corresponding name is used. If the qualifier is not found, then the CIM element name is used. If the element is an instance element and a qualifier is found then the name corresponding to the qualifier is used. If there is no qualifier then a determination is made as to the number of non-propagated key properties. If there is one non-propagated key property then the value of the property is used. If there are more than one non-propagated key properties, then a display name is constructed from each non-propagated key property and its corresponding value.

System and method for obtaining display names from management models

A generic management definition object, described using a CIM MOF file or an Extensible Markup Language document, can be used to format display panels that are independent of a management console. A generic integration layer is created between the management data and the display and behavior of such data. A transformation engine is used to convert data definitions included in management data to a formatted structure that is stored in a repository. A translation engine renders the formatted structure into graphical user interface constructs that are independent of any particular management console architecture. The transformation and translation engines coordinate a set of processes that facilitate the display and manipulation of the management data object's data model. GUI display panels that support the management model are generated in a console neutral manner so that the same panels are displayed from a variety of management consoles.
