A computing device is configured to downsample an image that is displayable at a head-mountable display (HMD) to an image pixel representative of the image. The computing device computes a luminance of the image pixel from a color value of the image pixel to determine image brightness. The computing device is configured to determine the foveal region of the image from eye-tracking information of the user of the HMD. The computing device dowsamples the foveal region of the image to a foveal pixel representative of the foveal region. The computing device is configured to compute a luminance of the foveal pixel from a color value of the foveal pixel to determine foveal region brightness.

In example implementations, an apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a physiological sensor, a memory, and a processor. The physiological sensor is to measure a physiological parameter. The memory is to store an extended reality application and a baseline level for the physiological parameter. The processor is in communication with the physiological sensor and the memory. The processor is to execute the extended reality application. In response to the physiological parameter exceeding the baseline level by a difference threshold, the processor is to adjust the extended reality application.

Example virtual reality controller apparatus are disclosed herein. An example controller for use with a virtual reality device implementing a virtual reality environment includes a base and a shaft supported by the base. The shaft includes a first control button associated with a first axis of a coordinate plane. The first control button is in communication with the virtual reality device. Activation of the first control button is to cause restriction of movement a virtual object in the virtual reality environment relative to the first axis. The shaft includes a second control button associated with a second axis of the coordinate plane. The second control button is in communication with the virtual reality device. Activation of the second control button is to cause restriction of movement of the virtual object in the virtual reality environment relative to the second axis.

Examples disclosed herein relate to responsive printing. An example device includes a processor, a memory device, and a printer for physical printing of a content section of an output object following a user setting and an instruction for the output object to be printed. In an example, the device may also include a microphone to detect an audio input and a camera to detect an image input. Further, in the example, the audio input detected by the microphone and the image input detected by the camera are both used by the processor executing instructions from the memory device in providing a content section of the output object, providing the user setting, and providing instructions to the printer for the content section of the output object to be printed.

An example non-transitory machine-readable medium includes instructions executable by a processor to capture a biometric signal from a biometric sensor at a headset that includes a stereoscopic display, capture a facial motion signal from a facial motion sensor associated with the headset, determine facial movement of a wearer of the headset based on the facial motion signal, apply a weight to the biometric signal based on the facial movement to obtain a weighted biometric signal, and use the weighted biometric signal to determine an emotional state of the wearer.

Aspects of the disclosure are directed to methods and apparatuses involving 3D imaging. In accordance with certain aspects, a plurality of images of a 3D object are captured while movement of the 3D object is sensed by a sensor physically coupled thereto. The plurality of images include complementary portions and a feature of the 3D object. Pose data is generated for one of the plurality of images, based on data corresponding to the sensed movement and on the feature. The complementary portions are combined to generate a visual 3D image of the 3D object, based on the pose data.

An example virtual reality headset stand includes a base, a stem, and a docking station. The stem, which extends from the base, is angled toward the base. The docking station, which is attached to the stem, is angled away from the stem. The docking station is contoured to hold a virtual reality headset. A unified visualization interface is disclosed. One example is a system including an association module, a multicasting module, a data sharing module, and a unified visualization interface. The association module associates an identified event in a first visualization system with a visualization function. The multicasting module stores event data related to the identified event and the associated visualization function in a shared data source, and multicasts the identified event to a second visualization system. The data sharing module associates the event data with characteristics of the first visualization system, and shares, in response to the multicast of the identified event, the shared data source with the second visualization system. The unified visualization interface automatically invokes, without software changes, the second visualization system in response to the multicast of the identified event, the invoking based on the shared data source including the characteristics of the first visualization system.

An example system includes a camera to capture an image of at least one physical input device, a virtual reality (VR) environment display portion to generate a VR environment, a window forming portion to create a window in the VR environment, the position of the window in the VR environment corresponding to a physical location of an interaction area that includes the at least one physical input device, an input device display portion to form an image of the at least one physical input device from the camera, and a VR headset including a head-mounted display to display a composite image of the VR environment, the window and the image of the at least one physical input device. The composite image includes the image of the at least one physical input device within the window.

A model controller includes a trackball having a spherical surface with one of latitudinal or longitudinal data tracks formed thereon. The model controller includes a base unit including a first image sensor adjacent to the trackball to capture images of the data tracks, wherein the captured images of the data tracks include orientation information to determine an absolute orientation of the trackball.

A somatosensory feedback system may include at least one somatosensory feedback device to, when actuated, invoke a sensation in a user. The somatosensory feedback system may instruct the at least one somatosensory feedback device to actuate to indicate a passage of time.

A model controller includes a trackball, a first sensor adjacent to the trackball to detect a first coordinate movement of the trackball, and a second sensor adjacent to the trackball to detect a second and a third coordinate movement of the trackball. In one example of the disclosure, presence data indicative of a presence factor for a remote subject is received from a server. The presence data is analyzed and a display representative of the presence factor is caused at a 3D object. The 3D object includes a 3D element representative of the remote subject.

Visualization of a cohort for high-dimensional categorical data is disclosed. One example is a system including a display module to identify real-time selection of a query data element in an interactive visual representation of high-dimensional categorical data elements comprising a plurality of categorical components. A matrix generator generates a binary distance matrix with columns representing categorical components, and entries in a row indicative of a degree of similarity of respective categorical components of the selected query data element to a data element represented by the row, and determines a category weighting matrix by associating a weight with entries in each column of the binary distance matrix. An evaluator evaluates a weighted similarity score for a data element represented by a row of the category weighting matrix based on entries of the row. A selector iteratively and interactively selects, based on weighted similarity scores, a cohort of categorical data elements.

A remote control device sends an arrangement change to a display device. The display device responsively changes an arrangement of video feeds displayed thereon. The display device transmits the arrangement to every remote control device. The arrangement change transmitted to the display device and the arrangement transmitted by the display device do not include any of the video feeds.
