A fired cartridge case collector includes a base having a collection post. The collection post of the base is configured to collect and suspend a fired cartridge case without causing contact to an exterior surface of the fired cartridge case. The fired cartridge case collector also includes a protective envelope having a first end and a second end opposite the first end, wherein the first end of the protective envelope is configured to be removably secured to the base. The protective envelope is configured to prevent contact between an interior surface of the protective envelope and the exterior surface of the fired cartridge case while the protective envelope is removably secured to the base. The fired cartridge case collector permits individual collection, packaging, and non-contact storage of fired gun cartridge cases thereby preserving any DNA or other evidence that may be present.

Fired cartridge case collectors and methods of use thereof

A self-contained, leak-proof sampling device and kit employing said device for collecting chemical and biological samples from various surfaces. The invention provides a sampling device and kit that may be employed to easily collect chemical and biological samples, safely transport the collected samples, safely dispense collected samples for analysis and provide optimum sample recovery. The sampling device is in the form of a leak proof container that comprises a lid and base. The lid contains a sterile absorbent collection means integrated into and positioned on the inside surface of the lid. The base contains a means to facilitate sample recovery from the absorbent collection means via compression and/or scraping of the absorbent collections means. Methods for employing the present invention are described herein.

Chemical and biological sampling device and kit and method of use thereof

This invention relates generally to the field of cement, especially cement for underwater application. The invention provides a composition for preparing cement that solidifies underwater comprising exothermic micro particles and base cement. Exothermic micro particles are less than about two thousand two hundred and fifty micrometers in diameter and can be, for example, calcium chloride. The invention further provides a kit for preparing cement that solidifies underwater comprising exothermic micro particles in a container and base cement. The invention provides a method of underwater construction or repair comprising mixing a composition comprising exothermic micro particles and base cement with water and applying the composition to an underwater structure where the composition solidifies. The composition, kit and method are particularly well suited for swimming pool repair.
