A variety of location-based and/or proximity-based features related to diabetes management systems can be used to improve maintenance compliance and/or to provide important information to PWD designated assistance entities (e.g., family, friends, givers, HCPs, emergency medicine providers) under certain conditions. In some cases, a user's location can be tracked or determined to trigger and/or time alerts about upcoming maintenance tasks in a way that will increase the likelihood that the PWD will immediately perform the designated maintenance task. In some cases, methods, devices, and systems provided herein can use proximity to non-paired mobile computing devices to deliver data to PWD designated assistance entities.

Diabetes management system

A therapy delivery device stores a plurality of time-dependent therapy settings. The therapy delivery device is configured to administer time-dependent therapies according to the time-dependent therapy settings based on a universal conception of time that is independent of a local time zone. A mobile device includes a display adapted to depict information about therapy or therapy-related data as compared to a local time that is stored on the mobile device based on a local time zone setting found in the mobile device. The therapy delivery device and a mobile application executing on the mobile device are configured to keep separate clocks, with each clock being based on a universal concept of time that is independent of a local time zone.

Time management for time-dependent therapy management systems, methods, and devices

A method for managing therapy data using computing nodes is disclosed. A computing node is associated with a blockchain identifying therapy data and features. The method includes: obtaining, by a first computing node from a first medical device, first therapy data, the first computing node being associated with a first blockchain; validating the first therapy data using features associated with the first blockchain; and in response to validating the first therapy data, adding the first therapy data to the first blockchain; receiving a request from a second medical device to obtain the first therapy data from the first block chain; providing, from the first computing node to the second medical device, and in response to receiving the request, the first therapy data to the second medical device, wherein the therapy data is used by the second medical device to provide a patient therapy recommendation.

In one implementation, a computer-implemented method of establishing a secure wireless communication connection between an insulin pump device and a mobile computing device includes receiving, at a mobile computing device, a device identifier for the insulin pump device; obtaining, by the mobile computing device, device information for the insulin pump device from a remote server system using the device identifier; establishing, by the mobile computing device, a secure wireless connection with the insulin pump device using, at least in part, the device information; authenticating, by the mobile computing device, the insulin pump device based on asymmetric key verification using the public key for the insulin pump; and securely communicating, by the mobile computing device and in response to authenticating the insulin pump device, information with the insulin pump device.

A precaching system identifies an object, such as a media file, that a user accesses and then analyzes a social graph of the user to identify social graph contacts that may be interested in the object. Based on the content of the object&#x2014;and the interests and connections of contacts in the social graph&#x2014;the precaching system determines whether a particular contact in the user's social graph is likely also to access the object. For example, the precaching system may determine a hit score corresponding to the object and a likelihood that the particular contact in the social graph will access the object. If the precaching system determines that the likelihood that the particular contact will access the object meets or exceeds a threshold probability level for precaching the object, the precaching system precaches the object near the contact in anticipation that the contact will access the object.

Social-driven precaching of accessible objects

A portable mirror apparatus for a golfer to view his swing which has a U-shaped hollow tubular frame (20) with cross bars (34), (36) and (38) inbetween, also divided in the middle and a mirror (40) attached on the front. A pair of retracting legs (48) support the invention in the vertical position each having a support bar (52) for stiffening. The invention folds in the middle for transportation and storage with the legs pivoted inward contiguous with the frame. The mirror contains marks in the form of lines (42) both horizontal and vertical to indicate proper alignment of the golfer during the swing of a golf club. The mirror is thermoplastic for strength and durability, also to reduce weight.
