A method of thrust vectoring a missile utilizing jet tabs is presented. Jet tabs are used to create lateral control moments on a missile by rotating tabs into the rocket exhaust plume and changing the thrust deflection angle. The method includes simultaneously rolling the missile during the thrust vector maneuver in order to reduce the maximum tab exposure to the rocket plume. The method enables aggressive pitchover maneuvers while reducing the risk of tab failure due to excessive exposure.

Method for reducing jet tab exposure during thrust vectoring

A hose bib handle replacement comprises a handle portion and an adapter. The adapter has a wall defining an open interior sized to receive a portion of a hose bib. The handle portion is attached or attachable to the top surface of the adapter and has a radial dimension larger than the adapter. The adapter comprises a clamping mechanism adapted to clamp onto the portion of the hose bib in the interior, wherein the clamping mechanism can clamp onto different size and shape portions of the hose bib. In one version, the clamping mechanism comprises a plurality of set screws and wherein the set screws have a length where they can clamp different size and shape portions of the hose bib and when clamped do not extend outwardly beyond the wall of the adapter more than about 0.25 inches.

In one aspect, a method includes performing a mapping on bits to form a complex data symbol, applying a frequency rotation mask to the complex data symbol based on a polynomial phase, performing an inverse discrete Fourier transform (IDFT) after applying the frequency rotation mask, applying a time domain window after performing the IDFT, converting digital data to analog data after applying the time window and transmitting the analog data as an analog signal.
