A mailbox display sleeve may include an inside layer and an outside layer joined at a crease. The outside layer may be made of a clear plastic material. An attachment component may attach the inside layer to an outside surface of a mail box. An insert may fit in between the inside layer and the outside layer of the display sleeve, and may thereby be displayed from the mailbox.

Methods and systems are provided for lighting systems, including high output linear lighting systems for various environments. The linear lighting systems may include power systems for driving light sources in high-voltage environments.

Modular lighting fixtures that allow convenient installation and removal of LED-based light-generating modules and controller modules. In one example, a modular lighting fixture includes a housing configured to be recessed into or disposed behind an architectural surface such as ceiling, wall, or soffit, in new or existing construction scenarios. The fixture housing includes a socket configured to facilitate one or more of a mechanical, electrical and thermal coupling of the light-generating module to the fixture housing. The ability to easily engage and disengage the LED-based light-generating module with the socket, without removing the fixture housing itself, allows for straightforward replacement of the light-generating module upon failure, or exchange with another module having different light-generating characteristics. Modular lighting controllers for such fixtures also may be easily installed in or removed from the fixture housing via the same access route by which the light-generating module is installed and removed.

A switching power supply is modified to mitigate potentially adverse effects of near zero loads on power delivery. In one example, a processor-controlled dummy load is coupled to the power supply output in addition to an actual load. The dummy load is controlled so that at least some minimal load is presented to the power supply when the actual load is drawing low or near zero power. In another example, the feedback loop of the switching power supply is modified to mitigate the effects of a potential overvoltage condition in a bias supply from which the switch controller of the power supply draws power, which condition may occur at low or near zero load power. A lighting system may include a switching power supply thusly modified to provide power to a variable load that includes one or more LED-based lighting apparatus.

A device is claimed for passively dispensing sanitizing tablets in a container of water. Preferably the invention is applied to dispensing sanitizing tablets in a toilet tank, and means are described for positioning the device and controlling the amount of sanitizer dispensed per flush.
