The flexible deck includes a metal panel extending substantially an entire width and length of the flexible deck. The belt is disposed on the flexible deck.

Apparatus, system, and method for a flexible treadmill deck

An exercise machine that includes an elongated frame having a head end and a foot end, and a moveable carriage slidably coupled to the frame and moveable between the head end and the foot end, the moveable carriage having a spring bracket coupled to an underside of the moveable carriage. The exercise machine also includes a spring support rod slideably coupled with the frame and disposed adjacent the foot end, and selectively positionable with reference to the foot end by a handle that extends from an interior area of the frame to an exterior area of the frame. The exercise machine also includes at least one resistive member coupled at a first end with the spring support rod and at a second end with the spring bracket, and configured to bias the moveable carriage towards the foot end of the frame.

Pilates reformer

A treadmill including a frame, a suspension connector connected to the frame, and a flexible deck connected to the suspension connector. The flexible deck is configured to flex in response to a load applied by a user striding on the treadmill. The suspension connector includes a suspension pivot that allows rotation of the flexible deck around the suspension pivot.

Disclosed herein is an exercise machine that includes an elongated frame having a head end and a foot end, and a moveable carriage slidably coupled to the elongated frame and moveable between the head end and the foot end, the moveable carriage having a spring bracket coupled to an underside of the moveable carriage. Disclosed herein is a stair climber that includes a frame having a base, an upper axle and a lower axle, and steps revolvably coupled to the upper axle and the lower axle. The stair climber also includes an electric brake mechanism operating in generative mode and coupled with the steps and configured to provide a variable resistive force. Also included is a controller that receives an indication of a selected exercise mode from a user that includes a first speed, a second speed, and a difficulty level. The controller also balances a load, in a learning mode, on the steps based a user's weight at the first speed, and controls, in response to the user applying an additional load to the steps via a rail system, the electric brake mechanism to apply the difficulty level of the selected exercise mode and prevent the steps from exceeding the second speed.

An exercise machine. The exercise machine includes a frame, a foot engagement surface operably connected to the frame, and an arm rotatably connected to the frame at a pivot. The arm includes a handle connected to the arm at a first location distal to the pivot. The handle is configured to be gripped by a user. The arm includes a weight receiver connected to the arm at a second location distal to the pivot. The weight receiver is configured to hold one or more weights to modify a downward force provided at the handle.

Apparatus, system, and method for exercise equipment with carry arms

An exercise machine including a vertical post and an adjustable pulley. The vertical post includes a plurality of engagement holes. The adjustable pulley is slideably connected to the vertical post. The adjustable pulley includes a pull pin and a lock. The pull pin is selectively engageable with one of the plurality of engagement holes. In response to the pull pin being engaged with an engagement hole, movement of the adjustable pulley relative to the vertical post is restricted. The lock is selectively engageable with the pull pin. In response to the lock being engaged with the pull pin, movement of the pull pin is restricted.

Apparatus, system, and method for pulley exercise equipment improvement

A stationary exercise cycle. The stationary exercise cycle includes a frame, a crank rotatably connected to the frame, a driven wheel rotatably connected to the frame, and a frame stiffener. The frame includes a down tube and a fork. The crank and the driven wheel are in operative communication via a continuous flexible member. The frame stiffener is connected to the down tube and the fork and encircled by the continuous flexible member.

Apparatus, system, and method for cycle improvements

A cycle with tapered drivetrain connections. The cycle includes a frame, a crank rotatably connected to the frame, and a driven wheel rotatably connected to the frame. The crank includes a crank arm and a crank spindle rotatably connected to the frame and non-rotatably connected to the crank arm. The crank spindle includes a crank mating surface to interface with the crank arm. The diameter of the crank spindle continuously decreases along at least a portion of the crank mating surface in a lateral direction. The crank arm includes a crank bore to interface with the crank mating surface. At least a portion of the crank bore has a diameter that continuously decreases in lateral direction. At least a portion of the crank bore taper has a taper rate and diameter equal to a taper rate and diameter of at least a portion of the crank spindle taper.

A device for motivating a user of an exercise machine while working out indoors. The device includes an exercise machine, a display connected to the exercise machine, a processor, and a sensor. The processor dynamically creates a workout in response to initialization information. The workout includes a plurality of segments, wherein a segment of the plurality of segments satisfies one or more requirements of the workout. The processor selects one or more video clips that correspond to the segment of the plurality of segments. The sensor communicates information relating to the user to the processor.

Instructional displays and methods for an exercise machine

A dual treadle treadmill. The dual treadle treadmill includes a frame, a first treadle, a second treadle, and a generator. The first treadle and the second treadle are each pivotally coupled with the frame and each have a moving surface. The generator is operably associated with the first treadle such that the generator is driven in response to the first treadle pivoting relative to the frame. Other embodiments of dual treadle treadmills are also described.

Apparatus, system, and method for providing resistance in a dual tread treadmill

An exercise apparatus with a generator. The exercise apparatus includes a frame, a rotating component, a generator, and a battery. The rotating component is rotatably connected to the frame and the rotating component rotates in response to operation of the exercise apparatus. The generator is connected to the rotating component and the frame. The generator includes a rotor connected to the rotating component and a stator. The rotor rotates in response to rotation of the rotating component. The stator is connected to the frame. The stator interacts with the rotor to produce electric current at an output. In one embodiment, the battery is connected to the output wherein the battery is charged by electric current from the generator.

Apparatus, system, and method for generating power for exercise equipment

An exercise machine can include a motivating and instructional user interface or display. The interface can include a virtual coach or other encouraging stimulus to provide key motivation for users of indoor exercise machines.
