An exercise device for exercising different groups of arm muscles. The device is hollow, having front and rear curved walls and top and bottom longitudinal pieces. The top and bottom longitudinal pieces have a series of tension-adjustment anchor holes. Anchors are removably attached to the anchor holes. Elastic ropes are secured at one end to the anchors and at the other end to handles. The ropes go from the anchors, around pulleys, across the length of the device, around another set of pulleys, across the length of the device, and out the exit holes in ferrules to attach to the handles. The ropes may attach to the handles axially or perpendicularly.

Multi-function exercise device

An abdominal exercise machine having a floor supported bench and a mast pivotally connected to an end of the bench by a universal joint connection. A pair of double acting hydraulic cylinders are pivotally connected between the end of the bench and the mast. The connection of the cylinders to the bench is a universal joint connection. A footrest assembly is connected to the mast. A recumbent exerciser can not only exercise the main and lower abdominal muscles by pushing and pulling the mast against the resistance of the hydraulic cylinders in a back and forth direction aligned with the longitudinal axis of the bench, but also the side or oblique muscles by simultaneously pivoting the mast back and forth in a transverse direction. The machine also allows a combination of the above motions including a circular type motion in either direction, clockwise or counterclockwise.

Abdominal exercise machine

An exercise machine designed to exercise the upper body, focusing particularly on the core abdominal muscles but also on the arms, shoulders and chest. The machine comprises a structural frame with an adjustable seating mechanism, a handlebar and one or more position-adjustable targets against which a user throws a weighted ball. The machine provides two modes of exercise. In the seated mode the user exercises the abdominal muscles by rocking the body while seated in the flexible, adjustable-resistance, back-supported seating mechanism. The back support element of the seating mechanism is adjustable into a flat position, effectively converting the seat into a bench. In bench mode, the user, laying face up on the bench and holding onto the handlebar for stability, exercises the lower abs by performing leg-raising crunches. The machine is designed to be uniquely stimulating and fun to use. It may be folded compactly for storage.

Ab volley

A multi-function exercise device having an elongate frame member with a conjoined seating component located on the frame and with the seating component adapted to lock into either of two operating positions facing the longitudinal ends. The forward-facing end has a pair of upstanding lever members adapted for manual arcuate movement having a set of resilient tensioning bands provided for a countervailing force for a first set of exercises. At the other frame end, is a vertical mast secured pivotally at its lower end to the frame member, and also provided with a upper end, manually actionable cross bar, for arm exercises. A pair of foot rests are mounted midway of the vertical mast for conducting certain leg exercises using a second set of tensioning bands which provide the countervailing force for the opposing end set of exercises.

Thigh and chest exercise device

A dual-purpose exercise machine, adapted to alternately condition two different sets of muscles, one device mode being for the legs and buttocks muscle sets (the foot stepper mode), and the other device position being for the pectoral/chest muscles and the upper arm muscles (biceps/triceps) in the bench press and ring extension modes. In the stepper mode, the device resembles a conventional stepping machine, having an upstanding vertical mast, conveniently formed by parallel elongate rigid members, set with a transverse span. A planar platform is securely mounted within the frame of the mast. An opposing pair of manual exertion resistance means, conveniently of hydraulic dampers, are disposed substantially horizontal, linked to the lever arms. They are mechanically linked to provide the variable resistance in opposition to alternating depression by user exerted upon foot-step platforms. When the platform component is inverted to lie in the bench press mode, the end spanning member forms the distal longitudinal end of the platform. A pair of transversely mounted gripping bar, which is vital to use of the machine, when it is in the bench press mode, are located on the lever arms ends.

Combination foot stepper and bench press device

A lap-based exercise device for conditioning abdominals and arms is provided. It includes a horizontal first pair of parallel members, which pair defines an elongate trough that concurrently receives one end of a rigid spanner bar and a linked one end of an associated band tensioning means. The other end of the spanner bar is pinned to a second pair of upstanding, spaced apart members pressing the torso, with such upstanding members being linked at their lower ends to the longitudinal ends of the first pair via a second torso-side crossbar. A third crossbar is pinned to the outer longitudinal ends of the first parallel pair and includes a pair of manually grippable means for activation of the device. Upon curling movement of the grippable means toward the user torso, the spanner bar and the operatively linked tensioning means provide the counter resistance which allows for a smoother range of arcuate arm motion for the exerciser. A chest-initiated movement involves the chest moving towards the user lap for abdominals exercise and a hand-initiated movement involves the leg oriented cross bar moving towards the user's chest.

Abdominals and arms muscles exercise device

An exercise device is provided having a resilient or flexible front impact surface and a plurality of identification indicia for identifying target areas on the flexible impact surface. The exercise device preferably utilizes lights as the identification indicia that are resiliently mounted to the exercise device which are sequentially operated by a microprocessor to force an athlete to contact the identified area on the impact surface while speed, strength and agility may be measured and analyzed by the microprocessor. The software for operating the microprocessor provides a wide range of workout levels and routines and imparts the ability to identify weak areas in the performance of the athlete and provide specific future training routines to improve overall performance in speed, agility and power.

Exercise device

A portable abdominal and arm exercise device includes a first pair of elongate parallel rigid members forming a base with an elongate trough therein for receiving one end of a rigid spanning bar, a second pair of upstanding spaced-apart rigid members attached at their lower ends to the first pair of elongate parallel rigid members and attached at their upper ends to one end of a cross bar. The cross-bar is attached at its other end to the rigid spanning bar.

A device for supporting one's thighs, knees, calves, and feet to obtain relief and comfort from low back pain. The device permits the user to be placed in the correct position to strengthen the stomach muscles without risking injury to the back. When a prone user disposes his thighs at a 32 degree angle to the vertical, the lower spine is partially flattened and the lower back muscle tension is reduced. The curved areas of the support under the knees and heels, and in the same horizontal plane, provide a comfortable transition from the thigh supporting surfaces to the calf and foot supporting areas. The horizontal surface is depressed intermediate to its length and creates a final subtle incline to receive the calf muscles. The unit is customized to the user's leg length measurements.
