A livestock management system for detecting, tracking, and responding to livestock location and physical parameters, and for determining livestock behavior and physical conditions correlated thereto. The system generally includes a plurality of tags and sensors attached to and implanted in a plurality of livestock, one or more local sensors, a management platform, and a remote computer system. Each tag receives, processes and maintains data regarding the location, activity and physical parameters of a livestock to which it is attached and locally determines the behavior and physical conditions of the livestock. The tags communicate with other nearby tags and sensors locally via dynamic mesh networks and with the management platform and remote computer system via longer range wireless networks. The management platform processes the tag data and produces herd-related data. The remote computer uses the tag data to generate and update livestock behavior and condition models for download to the tags.

Livestock management system

Livestock movement monitoring system and method of use are disclosed herein. An example method includes receiving output from each of a plurality of sensors that are associated with livestock in a confined area, tracking a position and movement of the livestock from the output, determining at least one deviation from an expected parameter using the position and movement, and transmitting an alert to a recipient when the at least one deviation has been determined.

Livestock monitoring system and methods of use

A flood control system for remotely and automatically controlling flooding and water storage on reservoirs. The flood control system generally includes a central computer that controls the water level by controlling or communicating with flow control gates positioned near a number of culverts, wherein each flow control gate typically includes: (a) a control unit communicatively coupled to the central computer, the control unit capable of sending local condition data to the central computer via a wireless connection and further capable of receiving control commands from the central computer; (b) an input/output interface capable of receiving signals or data regarding physical conditions proximate the flow control gate, the input/output interface coupled to the control unit; and (c) a water shutoff valve controllable by the control unit and positioned to selectively allow or block the flow of water through each culvert, wherein each control unit controls each water shutoff valve.

Flood control system

A system for automatically sensing, monitoring, and analyzing livestock to provide age verification and relative vigor metrics. The system generally includes a tag attachable to a livestock, a location detector, and a data processor. The tag senses livestock motion and produces first data indicative of a physical parameter. The location detector senses livestock location and produces second data indicative of the physical parameter. The data processor receives and stores a first aggregation of data of the same type as the first data and a second aggregation of data of the same type as the second data for a plurality of other livestock. The data processor statistically analyzes the first data and second data in relation to the first and second aggregations of data and generates an indication of the age and a relative vigor metric of the livestock.

Livestock age verification system

A livestock location tracking system is used to establish a history of locations of livestock animals throughout their lifespan to determine time spent in pasture, in pens, at feed stations, and/or other locations of interest. The recordation of locations of livestock occurs within the context of a livestock management system that includes a management system platform, a remote computer system, one or more local sensors and/or transceivers, one or more advanced livestock tags, one or more basic livestock tags and/or enhanced basic livestock tags, and one or more mobile devices.

Livestock location tracking system

A product inverting and diversion system for selectively inverting, diverting or skipping various types of products transported upon a high-speed conveyor system. The inventive device includes a frame, a pair of side members, a pair of first shafts and a pair of second shafts rotatably attached between the side members, a first belt and a second belt respectively positioned about the first shafts and second shafts defining a passageway between thereof, a pivot shaft attached to one of the side members, a drive shaft rotatably attached to one of the side members opposite of the pivot shaft, a drive belt connected between the drive shaft and a drive motor, and a pivot belt connected between the pivot shaft and a servo motor. A secondary belt is connected between the drive shaft and the first shafts and second shafts. The first belt and the second belt are rotated opposite of one another with the top surface of the lower belt moving in the same direction as an incoming conveyor and an outgoing conveyor thereby allowing the passing through of product. The electronic control circuitry determines whether the incoming product member on the incoming conveyor should be inverted, diverted, or skipped. If the product member is to be inverted, the servo rotates the pivot shaft thereby inverting the product member 180 degrees. The new lower belt then manipulates the product member onto the outgoing conveyor.
