A battery pack having a battery housing that defines a cavity for receiving a plurality of battery cells. The battery pack cavity is sealed from the air outside the battery pack housing to prevent water and other contaminants from reaching the plurality of battery cells. The battery pack may include a sealing material to create a seal between an upper housing and a lower housing of the battery housing. The battery pack also include a sealing material to create a seal around a terminal block of the battery pack.

The present disclosure presents an electrical connector comprising a wire coupling portion, the wire coupling portion including a generally flat, plateau portion wherein the plateau portion includes a trough. The electrical connector wherein the trough is generally semi-cylindrical. The electrical connector further comprises an overlap portion that is positioned generally parallel to the plateau portion. The electrical connector wherein the overlap portion is positioned generally adjacent to an open side of the trough. The electrical connector further comprising an electrical device coupling portion at an end of the electrical connector opposite to the wire coupling portion.

A security device for a battery pack includes a cap, which covers at least a portion of a slide mechanism of a slide battery pack, and a strap. The cap includes a first collar disposed around a first opening and a second collar disposed around a second opening, with the first collar and the second collar aligned along a longitudinal axis of the slide battery pack. The strap matches a contour of the slide battery pack and includes a first projection and a second projection. The strap is positioned along the longitudinal axis of the slide battery pack and the cap is positioned over the strap with the first projection inserted through the first opening and the first collar and the second projection inserted through the second opening and the second collar to secure the cap to the strap and to the slide battery pack.

Security device for a battery pack

A power tool includes a motor, a lighting power source, and a housing assembly defining an axis that supports the motor and the lighting power source. The power tool also includes a lighting assembly with a light and an energy line that transmits energy to the light to thereby provide illumination. The light and the lighting power source are disposed in spaced relationship from each other relative to the axis. Furthermore, the power tool includes a light holder supported by the housing assembly. The light holder supports the light and a portion of the energy line such that an end of the energy line unsupportedly extends beyond the light holder and electrically couples to the lighting power source.
