A battery pack including a battery pack housing, and a battery module disposed in the battery pack housing, Tire pack housing is sealed and flooded with a dielectric fluid. The battery module includes a module housing that is fluid permeable and includes a fluid passageway, and electrochemical cells disposed in the module housing in such a way that terminals of the cells are exposed to fluid disposed in the fluid passageway. The battery pack includes a thermal management system having an inlet plenum assembly disposed at a first end of the battery module, an outlet plenum assembly disposed at a second end of the battery module, and a fluid pump that directs fluid to the inlet plenum assembly via a fluid delivery line and receives fluid from the outlet plenum assembly via a fluid return line.

A frame arrangement for a vehicle may include a first side member and a second side member that each have an upper portion and a lower portion. The plurality of battery cells is organized into a plurality of rows within the battery compartment. The plurality of battery cells is stacked two or more battery cells deep within the plurality of rows. The one or more cooling plates are oriented perpendicular to the axis of the battery cells and positioned proximal to an end of battery cells within a row of the plurality of rows.

A battery assembly is disclosed that includes a battery housing, a battery array, and one or more cooling plates. The battery housing forms a battery compartment having a width and length greater than a height. The battery array includes a plurality of cylindrical battery cells oriented with an axis perpendicular to the height of the battery compartment. The one or more cooling plates oriented perpendicular to the axis of the battery cells and positioned proximal to an end of battery cells within a row of the plurality of rows.

A rear suspension for a vehicle includes a knuckle for supporting a rear wheel of the vehicle, and the knuckle defines an opening. The rear suspension system further includes two suspension devices configured to be connected to the vehicle and an upper portion of the knuckle, such that each suspension device is oriented along an upright axis when the rear suspension system is mounted on the vehicle. In addition, the rear suspension system includes a control arm having a first portion configured to be connected to the vehicle and a second portion configured to extend between the axes of the suspension devices and into the opening of the knuckle when the rear suspension system is mounted on the vehicle.
