A motor drive system includes a motor drive processor, a motor drive memory component, a server, and a display that displays a machine readable code, wherein the motor drive forms a secure wireless connection with a smart device once the smart device has scanned the machine readable code.

Motor drive system data interface system and method

Motor drive power conversion systems are provided including a rectifier and a switching inverter, wherein the switching devices of the rectifier, the inverter and/or of a DC/DC converter are silicon carbide switches, such as silicon carbide MOSFETs. Driver circuits are provided for providing bipolar gate drive signals to the silicon carbide MOSFETs, including providing negative gate-source voltage for controlling the off state of enhancement mode low side drivers and positive gate-source voltage for controlling the off state of enhancement mode high side drivers.

A system for manufacturing an industrial automation drive includes a carrier frame configured to hold one or more semiconductor devices for use in the industrial automation drive. The carrier frame includes a set of fasteners disposed around an internal wall of the carrier frame such that each fastener of the set of fasteners includes an angled edge and a horizontal edge. Each fastener of the set of fasteners is configured to toollessly couple a power circuit board having the semiconductor devices to the carrier frame by bending from a first position when the power circuit board is pushed against the angled edge and returning to the first position when the power circuit board is pushed past the horizontal edge.

An electronic line shaft comprising a motor drive comprising a velocity noise filter coupled to receive a feedback position signal and operable to filter the feedback position signal to generate a feedback velocity signal where the noise filter has at least one controllable filter parameter that affects filter operating characteristics and a processing unit operable to execute a wizard for configuring the motor drive, the wizard being operable to receive mechanical characteristic data associated with the motor drive that is provided as input by a wizard user via a user interface and to determine a noise parameter based on the mechanical characteristic data, wherein the at least one controllable filter parameter is adjusted as a function of the noise parameter.

An electronic line shaft includes a motor drive and a processing unit operable to execute a wizard for configuring the motor drive. The wizard is operable to receive mechanical characteristic data associated with the motor drive, determine a noise parameter based on the mechanical characteristic data, and determine at least one control parameter of the motor drive based on the noise parameter.

A method and assembly for synchronizing machine operations, the assembly comprising a reference generator for generating a speed reference signal and a position reference signal, a plurality of slave units, each slave unit including, a mechanical device, a separate motor linked to and driving the mechanical device and a separate unit controller for controlling the unit motor, the unit controller receiving and using the reference signals to control motor operation and a synchronizer receiving the reference signals from the control signal source and simultaneously providing the reference signals to each of the slave unit controllers for use in controlling operation of the motors in a synchronized fashion.
